We had a fantastic visit to Stori Brymbo this week ⭐️ It was a proud moment for us as a production company and for the brilliant Wrexham Academy of Screen Acting actors we cast in the museum’s talking‑head instalments.
Our team produced the video pieces for the exhibition rooms. These instalments were written by Peter Cox and directed by WAoSA treasurer Ian Puleston‑Davies, both bringing incredible craft and care to the project 🎬
We were thrilled to cast Chris Earl Jones, Craig Blackwell, Peter Crump, and WAoSA tutor and Managing Director Louise Pridding as real individuals connected to Brymbo’s steelworks history.
Last week the actors visited the museum to see the final pieces for themselves, and it was amazing to witness their footage being played daily for visitors from the local area and beyond 🌍
Stori Brymbo is a wonderful building with so much history. If you haven’t visited yet, it’s well worth it ✨
A huge thank you to Nicola Sawford and Jess for arranging the visit. We’re incredibly proud of everyone involved and of the opportunities this project has created for local talent ❤️

We’re proud to share that You Came For The Name, Wrexham’s official UK City of Culture 2029 bid film, is now live on YouTube. 🎬
Created in support of Wrecsam2029, this film puts Wrexham’s people, creativity, humour, ambition, heritage and character centre stage. It offers a chance to see Wrexham beyond the headlines and reflects why so many of us believe this place is ready for the win. 🌟
Thank you so much to everyone who played a part in bringing this film to life, both in front of and behind the camera. Special credits to our very own Eleri Jones leading the way as director and Peter Cox for the most beautiful words written. 👌 Everyone’s dedication and craft have helped us tell a story that truly represents our city.
Let’s keep putting Wrexham on the map as a city of unique creative and historical importance, capturing exactly what the Wrecsam2029 bid stands for.
You came for the name.
You’ll stay for our story.

Wrexham is positioned perfectly, and we want to showcase everything this place has to offer. Everything we do as a production company, we want Wrexham to be part of it. 🎬❤️
We want to show that Wrexham is more than just football. It’s full of talent, creativity, and community. It’s about bringing everyone back — the people who grew up here, the people who had to leave because the opportunities weren’t here yet. Now they are. And they’re coming home 🏴
This is only the start of many more things to come!

Wrexham has a point to prove. This city is a TV and Film Production hub, and we’re showing exactly why. 🎬✨
So many crew members were born here but had to leave because the opportunities weren’t available. We changed that. Seeing them come back, excited to work in their hometown again, says everything about what Wrexham is capable of. 🏴
Minera Studios is here to make sure those opportunities stay 🥳

❤️🎭 A massive thank you to the Stiwt Theatre for letting us use your beautiful space as part of the filming for the Wrecsam City of Culture 2029 bid.
It was extra special to welcome Mark Lewis Jones back to the stage where he first discovered his love for acting growing up — right here in Rhosllannerchrugog. This community gave birth to an incredible talent, and it felt powerful to bring Mark home to the place where it all began 🌟
Huge thanks as well to a couple of our amazing WAoSA youth students, who joined forces with the Stiwt’s own youth theatre group, Theatr yr Ifanc, to share the stage with Mark. A moment that connected Rhos’ past, present, and future in one frame 🙌✨
And what a treat to have the Rhos Male Voice Choir join us — their presence added something truly special to the day 🎶🔥
Finally, a big thank you to Leon Bowen Photo Film for capturing the magic 📸

Big thanks to actor Mark Lewis Jones for representing Wrexham so powerfully, and to Ivan Corlett for letting us use his canal boat on set — it added something truly special 🚤💚
And of course, thank you to Simon Jones and Leon Bowen for the beautiful photos from the day 📸
A huge shoutout as well to Chapel Tearooms, Trevor for keeping the team fuelled with fantastic catering ☕🍰
