We’re exploring the range of books from Hertfordshire Libraries which your child can enjoy this Summer Reading Challenge. We have a large variety of books, perfect for all styles of reading.

Children confident with reading are sure to find something to enjoy in one of our novels. We’ve got so much to discover, from dragons to wizards, footballers to detectives, and much more!

The Summer Reading Challenge begins on Saturday 4 July at your local library.

Our next ‘Pull Up A Chair ‘ coffee morning is on 7th July between 10.30am-11.30am.Why not come along for tea,coffee,cake and a chat? A warm welcome awaits .

Our family learning football session was great fun!
We had a warm up session, choose your team, build a lego goal , penalty shoot out and ended with a quiz! We were surprised at how competitive some parents can be🤣🤣

The National Year of Reading continues with the Summer of Sport! There are loads of sporting events happening over the next few months, including:

Can you believe that this year’s Summer Reading Challenge starts just 2 weeks from today?

The Reading Agency has partnered with Universal Music Group UK for this year’s fantastic theme, ‘Read to the Beat’🎵

The challenge is designed for children of all ages and all they need to take part is their own library card. If your child isn’t a library member, you can sign them up for free by visiting your local library.

For eager readers, you can reserve books free of charge for children ahead of the challenge. Just visit the Hertfordshire Libraries catalogue or use our app:
