🏨 One of Leeds’ most iconic and historic landmarks has just re-emerged with a bold new identity. Following an extensive and design-led refurbishment, @the_met_hotel Leeds has re-opened its doors, offering guests a refined blend of Victorian grandeur and contemporary flair. Interior designers for the project were Matthews Mee. Inspired by Leeds’ textile heritage and the 4th White Cloth Hall, the design draws upon the city’s past. 🗣 Rob Matthews, Creative Director of @matthewsmee commented: “The interior design concept was based on a contemporary re-interpretation of this Victorian era hotel, taking creative inspiration from local industrial heritage. The hotel’s Victorian layout, colours and architecture were a major consideration, and this was combined with the use of modern construction techniques and LED lighting to dramatic effect." 👏 @styleandfinch were tasked to manufacture, deliver, and install all bedroom furniture, bedroom seating, and front-of-house bespoke joinery. Another partner was @wilton_carpets who were responsible for the supply of British made axminster designs. @skoposfabricsltd were briefed to provide a tailoring theme to the bedrooms.
