Wool Wednesday!

We've recently received some new additions to our Stylecraft Life DK range.

Life DK Wash are a range of colours that have a washed-out, mottled appearance; great for giving your crochet or knitwear a softer look.

They're available in 8 shades - Raspberry, Storm, Heather, Mint, Ginger, Rose, Graphite, and Pistachio.

Just like all the others in the Life DK range, they are made from 75% premium acrylic and 25% wool, giving them a robust softness, great for any project.

Available in 100g balls, with approximately 326yds/298m per ball.

Christmas is slowly creeping up on us, only just over 11 weeks away, so now is the perfect time to start getting prepared.

Makower have released a lovely new range of Advent calendar and Stocking panels.

From the Adorn collection, an easy-to-sew fold-pocket Advent, decorated with Christmas trees in traditional Christmas colours, plus a splash of gold metallic.

From the Country Christmas collection, a beautiful Advent panel featuring woodland creatures in a house and woodland scene. Also available from this collection is a stocking panel with similar wintery scenes.

Finally, from the Nutcracker collection, an advent panel featuring the titular character from the well-known story, as well as fairies and rat kings.

We've just had in some lovely new yarns from Stylecraft.

Naturals Pure Wool are, as the name suggests, made from 100% Pure Wool.
Available in 32 well-known shades from the Special Range, these yarns combine the practicality of superwash wool with the luxury of a soft, premium finish.
It's naturally warm and comfortable, and has outstanding stitch definition, ensuring that cables, textures and colourwork look their very best.

They are DK weight, and come in 50g balls with 120yds/110m per ball.

We run a Crochet Class every Wednesday morning, from 10-11/11:30, at £10ph.
It is not a set class, in that you choose what you'd like to make, but there is a teacher on hand to help with any unknown stitches and pattern reading.
It is for any level of experience, whether you're an absolute beginner and you've never picked up a crochet hook, or you're more of an intermediate level and can do all the stitches, but you get stuck on more complex stitches or struggle to read patterns.
No need to book, just turn up.
Don't worry if you haven't got any crochet supplies! All of that can be purchased in store, including hooks, yarn, patterns and other little accessories.
