Strabane Drama Festival

This year's festival has "variety" in abundance with theatre to suit most, if not every, taste. See you in the Alley Theatre on 18th March!
25 years is quite a landmark but the Festival Director since the inception of Strabane Drama Festival would like to point out that he has aged surprisingly little during that time - or that's how he would like to see it! Comedies, dramas, even "dark" plays are to be had with quite a few stage "versions" of productions better known for their movie counterpart. A drama festival is one of those things that, if you can really immerse yourself in many (or all) of the productions, then you reappear into the normal world feeling totally entertained and revitalised having "escaped" from ordinary life for a sustained period. Yes - you will have to reintroduce yourself to friends and relatives but you have loads to talk about telling them what they missed!

Glad to see the rich history of our wee town finally getting the recognition it fully deserves 🎭 🎶 📖 🌒
The town of culture bid comes at a time when Strabane's main arts centre, the Alley Theatre, is closed due to a water leak - and set to remain shut for much longer than first expected.
