“I don’t need insurance…” - Until you do.
It’s easy to say, “I don’t need insurance. I’m healthy, I’m fine, and it won’t happen to me.”
And hopefully, it won’t. ❤️
But what if life had other plans?
🏡 Your mortgage still needs paying.
💷 Your bills don’t stop.
👨👩👧 Your family still needs supporting.
💰 And your savings? They could disappear quicker than you think.
Here’s the reality: £5.15 BILLION was paid out in individual life insurance, critical illness and income protection claims in the UK during 2025.
📈 97.9% of individual protection claims were paid in 2025.
That’s financial support reaching people when life didn’t go to plan.
So, here’s one question worth asking yourself:
If your income disappeared tomorrow, how long could you and your family manage financially?
A week? A month? Six months?
If you’re not sure, isn’t it worth finding out before you need the answer?
You don’t need to have all the answers today. You just need to take the first step.
📩 Send me a message for a friendly chat about your options. Let’s see what you already have in place, identify any gaps and explore what you could do to protect your financial future.
Because the best time to think about protection is while you still have the choice.

🏠 Your Mortgage Payment Has Increased. But What If Your Income Didn’t?
With mortgage payments putting more pressure on household budgets, it’s understandable that you might be thinking:
“I can’t afford to pay for protection right now.”
But there’s another question worth asking…
Could you afford to pay your mortgage if illness or injury stopped you working?
Your mortgage still needs paying.
Your household bills still need paying.
Your family still needs supporting.
That’s why it’s worth considering:
💷 Income Protection – Could provide a regular income if illness or injury prevents you from working.
❤️ Critical Illness Cover – Could provide a lump sum following a qualifying critical illness.
👨👩👧 Life Cover – Could help your family financially if you die.
You don’t necessarily need to protect everything at once.
The right level of cover depends on your circumstances, budget and priorities.
If your mortgage payment has increased, it could be more important than ever to make sure the income behind it is protected.
👉Get in touch today. Let’s review your protection and find an option that fits your budget, so you can protect what matters most without adding unnecessary financial pressure.

🏡 Could a 2.5% deposit be enough to buy your first home?
The Government has announced plans for Your First Home: a new scheme designed to help first-time buyers purchase a new build from participating developers.
The proposed scheme could mean:
🔑 Just a 2.5% deposit
🏠 20% government-backed equity loan
💷 A mortgage for the remaining amount
So, on a £300,000 new build, your own deposit could be just £7,500.
The equity loan is expected to be interest-free for the first year, although it will need to be repaid and factored into affordability.
📅 The scheme is currently expected to launch on 28th October 2026, with full details due at the Autumn Budget.
And that’s what makes this exciting; for first-time buyers struggling to build a bigger deposit, this could provide another route onto the property ladder. 🔑
There are other options too, including 95%–100% mortgages, family assisted products and developer incentives, so don’t assume buying is out of reach just because you have a smaller deposit.
📩 Thinking about buying your first home? Drop me a message and let’s look at what could be possible.
Full scheme details and eligibility are still to be confirmed.
Your Home (or property) may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage or any other debts secured on it. There may be a fee for mortgage advice, the exact amount will be based on your circumstances.

Had the best day at the wedding over the weekend for my cousin and my new cousin now.
But I do think we spend so much time organising things like this, from outfits, to taxis, to prep for the day and so much more.
Do we put the time into protecting our home and jobs like we do making sure we have the best day at a family wedding?

🏠 When Life Changes, Your Mortgage Options Can Too
Going through a divorce or separation can bring a lot of uncertainty, particularly when it comes to your home and mortgage.
You might be wondering:
Can I afford to stay in my home?
Can I take the mortgage on by myself?
Could a family member help me with affordability?
What could I afford if I need to buy somewhere new?
Even if the numbers don’t seem to work at first, there may be options available.
As a whole-of-market mortgage broker, I can look across different lenders to find the right solution for your circumstances, including:
Lenders that allow family members to boost your affordability with their income
Lenders offering stronger income multiples, which could increase how much you’re able to borrow
More flexible approaches to different types of income
Interest-only or part-and-part options where appropriate
Competitive mortgage rates from across the market
Every situation is different. Before assuming you’ll need to sell your home or that a mortgage won’t be affordable on one income, it’s worth finding out what could be possible.
📩 If you’re going through a separation and want to understand your mortgage options, get in touch for a confidential chat. 💬
Your Home (or property) may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage or any other debts secured on it. There may be a fee for mortgage advice, the exact amount will be based on your circumstances.
