We are highlighting to road users and the local community that the B998 (Hillfoots Road) between Causewayhead and the A91 will be closed from 9.30am until 3.30pm each day until Monday 12 October. This is due to essential maintenance works.
Access for emergency services will be maintained throughout the works. Road users are advised to travel via Alloa Road and the A91 and vice versa during the closure.
We are aware that the road was closed earlier than 9.30am this morning (8 Oct). We apologise for any inconvenience this caused and will ensure that closures during the remainder of the works adhere to the stated times.

We have received this communication to share from McGill’s Buses Commercial Director:-
“I wanted to highlight the introduction of the Scottish Government’s £2 Bus Fare Cap in Strathclyde, which commenced on 7 September. McGill’s is participating in the scheme, which means eligible single adult and child fares on participating services within the Strathclyde fare-cap area are capped at £2.
Importantly, the scheme can also benefit passengers travelling on cross-boundary journeys to and from the Strathclyde area. Where only part of a journey falls within the fare-cap area, the £2 cap applies to the eligible section, with the normal fare applying to the remainder. This is an important point of awareness for communities close to the boundary, where bus journeys frequently cross between different areas.”
