Yet another FREE software update for your Fish Deeper App is rolling out as we speak and this time we have included the below features and fixes!

• Added a Distance Measurement tool – measure distances between multiple points directly on the map.

• Added a compass feature to the map – quickly reset map orientation to North.

• Added coordinate search – find locations by entering geographic coordinates into the search field.

• Also includes minor bug fixes and improvements for Deeper QUEST and Deeper SPARK. These are purely software fixes and contain no firmware changes.

After hearing that the local lake hadn’t been fishing particularly well over the last couple of weeks, I wasn’t expecting too much from the session.

But that’s fishing… you just never know! 🎣

I was booked into a peg I’d only fished once before, so rather than guessing where to put the rods, I got the Deeper Quest out and scanned the water in front of me.

There were actually a good few options, which made the decision even harder! 😂

I eventually opted for a far-margin spot where the Quest showed a lovely clear area that I felt could be holding a few carp.

It didn’t take long before the plan started to pay off…

🔥 TOUGH CONDITIONS… BUT THE QUEST FOUND THE FISH! 🎣

It was a hot and challenging day at Angels Lakes, with the fish proving difficult to locate and even harder to tempt.

Thankfully, the Deeper Quest bait boat gave us a huge advantage. Being able to scan the water and see exactly where the fish were cruising allowed us to adapt our approach rather than fishing blindly.

With fish holding around the 4ft mark, we adjusted accordingly and presented a 4ft zig rig, topped with double yellow foam, over a spread of particle.

The tactic paid off perfectly… and this beautiful common carp finally slipped up! 🎯🐟

On a tough session where bites were definitely at a premium, moments like this make all the effort worthwhile, But seeing my lad with his catch was without doubt the highlight of the day. ❤️

That’s what carp fishing is really all about. 🎣

🎣 A Morning to Remember for Sophie! 🎣

After a little run of blanks, Sophie was absolutely over the moon when things finally came together at our syndicate on Sunday and what a way to end the dry spell!

The rods went out at 7:45am, and it certainly didn’t take long for the first bite. At 8:10am, Sophie landed a stunning 32lb mirror. The rod was straight back onto the spot, and just 30 minutes later, at 8:40am, it produced again with another cracking 33lb mirror! 🤩

Two 30s in the first hour, not a bad morning at all!

The spot itself is a small shelf sitting in around 4–5ft of water. It has produced a number of fish recently, with the majority being 30lb+ fish, so it was a spot we definitely wanted to investigate properly.

This is where the Deeper Quest bait boat has been such a valuable tool for us. Using the Quest’s sonar and mapping capabilities, we’ve been able to identify these subtle changes in depth and accurately position the boat and rigs on the small shelf.

We’ve been finding more and more fish in surprisingly shallow water recently, including areas around 4ft deep, and having the Quest to scan, map and accurately place the rigs has given us the confidence to fish these areas effectively.

A brilliant result for Sophie and another example of how using the Deeper Quest to understand what’s actually beneath the surface can make such a difference.
