Ride Safe 'Train the Trainer'
I have been asked to deliver a Train the Trainer session for an APC in the S18 area. We plan to do this in early-mid October.
If any qualified APCs would like to join the training, please let me know before Friday 18th September so we can aim to arrange mutually agreeable dates. Successful completion of this training will enable you to deliver Ride Safe Silver awards.
To be delivered by Ruth Baxter - Equestrian Coach, Ride Safe Advisor.

A bit of non horse related fun to help us through the (much needed!) rain.
Over a few days off, Kirsty Baxter-Thompson and I tried our hand at some mini clay models.
Have a look at our efforts and pop a comment, reaction or both to tell us which you like best. I'll let you know who made the favourite in a few days!

2 very different horses, both appreciating their fly masks with the 2026 demon flies! πΏ

A fantastic day delivering CPD Lunging and Long-Reining Across The Stages
We looked at working horses from the ground across both the British Horse Society stages, and different stages of a horse's development.
Looking at different training aids, which worked well and which didn't suit the situation. Well done to all who attended, and those who chose to have a go at the practical side in a friendly and supportive environment.
Thank you to the team at Lily Lodge Equestrian Centre for hosting us so well, providing brilliant horses and adapting the timetable to cope with the weather!

ππΌGoal setting only works when you show up ππΌ π₯
I've now reached the heady heights of 5 parkrun completions π³
Keeping in mind that I don't run ππ
3 weeks ago I was chuffed to bits to get a personal best by 1 second! β±οΈ
This week I had a terrible night's sleep beforehand, didn't feel great and really questioned whether it was a good idea to go. My win was making the effort.
Then I shocked myself by managing to knock over 20 seconds off π³π³
Planning and goal setting are brilliant. But don't forget sometimes just showing up gets you the furthest. πͺπΌ
What are you showing up for right now? ππΌππΌ
(The middle week was running with πΊ. All times with πΊ are subject to sniff and wee stops along the route π)
