Parker Barrow have also earned a reputation for their powerhouse live shows, which blend hard-hitting blues-rock swagger with Southern firepower and extended jams.
They are the very spirit and rebellion of true, southern-focussed rock and roll - with no apologies.
Hailing from Worcestershire, British band Wood Burnt Red, who are rooted in country but fuelled by southern influenced rock and roll, are riding high on the recent release of their acclaimed debut album, 'Hold On Tight.' See less

The song, a driving, anthemic rock song about taking the knocks and finding strength to go again, is the first taster of what will be the band’s next, and sixth, studio album.

Scottish contemporary rock band Mason Hill will release their new album 'World So Wonderful' on 23rd October on 7Hz Productions.
Produced by Dan Weller, the album can be pre-ordered at: https://eyesoremerch.com/bands/m/mason-hill/
Final taster-single from the album, 'Tainted Wings,' is out now.
Of the song, the band's new vocalist Tom Ward says:
"This was the track which I first wrote a chorus for the lads as part of my audition process - the chorus almost spilled out of my mouth when I stepped up to the mic in my home studio.
This track feels raw but edgy, it ticks all the boxes for a modern rock anthem - heavy AF riff, check; belter of a chorus, check; breakdown, check; Solo? You betcha! We feel this will be a fan favourite, as it's definitely one of ours!"

Emerging Portsmouth based outlaw country artist Jukes has released a new single, 'Down.'
It follows on from debut single 'Sunburn,' which pinned his emotional and darker storytelling colours to the mast.
'Down,' however, delivered in Jukes' gravelly bass-baritone voice reminiscent of Tom Waits, Nick Cave or Amigo The Devil at their storytelling best, carries a more cinematic feel, as the singer explains: "I've always been influenced by the tones, and the visual style, of cinema; how one shot can speak a thousand words. Wes Anderson has played a big part in this inspiration; from Asteroid City to The Grand Budapest Hotel, he has always managed to speak to me through his shots, his edits.
This song combines sounds that match this visual styling, along with lyrics that explore the darkest depths of depression... this is Down."
Jukes is the intersection of heavy metal grit and raw, outlaw country storytelling.
Merging a metal-inspired aesthetic with deeply emotional acoustic songwriting, Jukes delivers a vulnerable yet intense experience that explores mental health, survival, and the open road.

Ruts D.C. will present '50 Years of Ruts music 1977-2027' when they head out on their UK Tour in April, and again in October, of next year.
Taking in twenty dates (with plans to announce more) across England, Scotland and Wales, the shows are a celebration of The Ruts and their music, which exploded out of the punk movement and continued beyond, across the decades.
Tickets: https://www.seetickets.com/tour/ruts-dc-present-the-ruts
In 1977, The Ruts emerged from London with a sound unlike anybody else around them; the raw urgency of punk collided with reggae, dub and rock, driven by a fierce sense of purpose from the original lineup of Malcolm Owen, Paul Fox, Dave Ruffy and Segs Jennings.
Making an impact with the singles 'In a Rut,' 'Babylon’s Burning,' 'Something That I Said,' 'Jah War,' 'Staring At The Rude Boys' and 'West One (Shine On Me)' along with albums such as 'The Crack' (one of the defining British punk albums of its era) The Ruts were politically aware and musically fearless, with a sound that refused to stay within punk’s boundaries.
After losing Malcolm Owen in 1980, the remaining members re-invented themselves as Ruts D.C., eventually losing Paul Fox in 2007.
But Ruts D.C. remain a living, evolving band, featuring musicians that were there, ably abetted by Ruts D.C. guitarist of 14 years, Leigh Heggarty.
