Pontypridd Golf Club

⛳️ We recently held a fantastic Open Day at the club. 80 women took part with players travelling from all over South Wales and some from The Cotswolds and the West Country.

It was a pleasure and a privilege as a club to host the CEO and the President of Wales Golf and we sincerely thank them for all their support.

The feedback on the course was ‘tough but enjoyable and a pleasure to play’.

🧁 The response on the cakes was fantastic and we certainly have some talented cake makers within our club. The players all received a very warm and typical Pontypridd welcome.

👏🏻 Thank you to everyone involved in making the day such a success on the course and to the bar team for their hard work in ensuring all players were looked after before and after their round.

☀️ There’s still time to make the most of the dry weather! Our yellow and red tees remain open, so book a round, enjoy the course and get some fresh air.

Credit to the greens staff for getting the course in great condition for the Women’s Open Competition this coming Sunday.
Looking forward to welcoming all the competitors and the forecast is good 🌤️ 💥🏌🏻‍♀️

Sunday we held our Finals Day and a great and competitive day it turned out to be. Congratulations to all finalists and please see the winners with their trophies below. Presenting the winners with their awards is Club President David Kelland. 🏆 🏆 🎉🎉 👏🏻👏🏻

It’s great to hear that our friends at Morlais Castle Golf Club are able to open their course today after the grass fires caused closure yesterday.

Hopefully it will be the end of the problems but should it happen again we would like to extend an invitation to members of Morlais Castle to play at Pontypridd GC free of charge.

Our Ladies Captain Abbie Antoniou held her Charity Day last Sunday raising much needed funds for Velindre Cancer Centre Fundraising

It was a fantastic afternoon and well supported. Abbie is currently collecting all the donations and raffle money and will update us with a final figure in the next few days.

Below are some images from the day. Many thanks to Thomas Best Photography Tom Best

Hole in ONE Alert!!

Richard Robertson had a hole in one today on our par 3 15th. Not an easy hole this one but a smooth 5 iron over the tree on the left, on a great line to the cup, and it’s an ace. 💥🏌🏽‍♂️

Congratulations and well done
