Torfaen Voluntary Alliance

Have an idea that could make a difference in your community? Let’s explore it together. At TVA, we encourage and support these opportunities.

What would you like to see happening in your local community? Do you have an idea for a project, a community activity, a social enterprise or a new way of tackling a local challenge?

The upcoming Community Ideas events in Torfaen, delivered by Martin Downes of Prelude Solutions in partnership with Town Square, and working alongside Torfaen County Borough Council’s Foundational Economy team, are an opportunity to bring people together to share ideas, explore opportunities and work collaboratively to make good things happen.

Whether you’re a resident with an idea, part of a community or voluntary group, thinking about starting a social enterprise, or an organisation that can offer advice, support or funding, you’re invited to get involved.

These events are about connecting people, developing ideas and exploring what might be possible when communities, organisations and support services work together.

You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need an idea, an interest in your community, or a willingness to help make something happen.

Please share this with residents, groups and anyone who might have an idea to explore or something to contribute.

Let’s bring people together, make connections and see what we can achieve, stronger together.

It was great for us to be invited in celebrationg Women Of Wisdom (WOW) receiving funding from The National Lottery Community Fund/ Cronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol.

the group had the funding to support its members and other members of the community to become more self confident and happy with who they are.

We are wroking closely with Torfaen's Community Capacity Officer to help this group grow and support the community.
