The Saab 9-3 Carlsson was created as a tribute to Erik Carlsson, the legendary rally driver whose exploits helped establish Saab's reputation for building unconventional yet remarkably capable performance cars.Introduced in the UK in 2010, near the end of the original 9-3's production run, the Carlsson was based on Saab's most powerful model. Its 2.8-litre turbocharged V6 produced 276 bhp and was paired with Saab's XWD all-wheel-drive system and a six-speed automatic gearbox. The package was completed with unique Carlsson styling, 19-inch alloy wheels, upgraded suspension, and larger brakes. What makes the Carlsson particularly significant today is its rarity. Just 96 examples were produced for the UK market, making it one of the rarest modern Saabs. It was effectively Saab's final performance-focused special edition before the company's collapse in 2011. As a result, the 9-3 Carlsson is more than simply a fast version of the 9-3. It represents a final showcase of Saab's distinctive engineering philosophy, combining understated styling, everyday usability, and genuinely impressive performance in one of the last special-edition models the company ever produced.
This Carlsson has the extremely rare Hirsch 300 bhp upgrade kit, has covered 43000 Miles and has full service history with Perth SAAB.
