Best of luck to anyone doing the Cardiff Half tomorrow.. Really enjoyed showing some of the competitors around Cardiff today.

My small Austrian group today have been friends since they were 10 years old . They regularly tour together with the destination chosen in alphabetical order. Now on their second run of the alphabet, they got to ‘ C’ so a weekend in Cardiff was the chosen base. We toured Cardiff & Bay, popped to Caerphilly Castle and squeezed in Penderyn Wh**ky, a scenic drive and a stop in Hensol Distillery.

I have been spotted by the Paparazzi again making a stop in Cardiff Bay . 😉

Enjoying the Celtic vibes around Brittany on a recent road trip. Some of place names and business names looked very similar to Welsh . We also had that familiar Celtic welcome 🤗

It’s hard to believe the Fishguard Friendly Faces are 10 years old ! Who are the Fishguard Friendly Faces I hear you ask … They are a group of volunteers from Fishguard and the surrounding area, who meet and greet passengers coming off the cruise ships docked in the harbour. When I am looking after cruise ship tours for various operators, passengers are full of praise of Fishguard Bay Welcome and frequently comment that they hadn’t had such a lovely welcome in other ports . Keep up the good work !

I recently had the chance to check out one of Cardiff’s twin cities - Nantes, France. I spotted several similarities to Cardiff such as the investment in the docks redevelopment and , of course, they had a fantastic Castle! Nice to see some Welsh flags dotted around the town centre too , confirming the link 😊

This interesting art work in Milton Keynes, marking notable dates like the year the Diesel Engine was patented 😉. I was pleased to see St Davids Day was marked too.

This group came all the way from Peking University, China and spent the day with me around Cardiff and Cardiff Bay. We took a walking tour of Cardiff whilst the other half of the group had a tour of BBC Central Square. It was all change after lunch as I took the other half around the city . We then regrouped for a walking tour of the Cardiff Bay. I certainly got my steps in 😉 .

It was a pleasure to be asked again to accompany this year’s cohort of students from Aberdare College, Buenos Aires on a South Wales tour. We first of all spent time exploring Aberdare ( of course) as the founders of their school were relatives of some of the Welsh people who left Wales on the Mimosa for Patagonia in 1865. We also visited Caerphilly Castle, Cardiff City Centre and the Bay, Bannau Brycheiniog - Brecon Beacons - National Park

Thanks to Dennis from Bunnik Travels for this picture of me in action and the review always appreciated.

‘Steve was brilliant. He brought the history of Cardiff to life! Loved his dry humour and wit!’
