Our WI garden fairy has been hard at it in the sunshine today.
Pruning back shrubs, plants, bushes, mulching, weeding, tidying round and painting the planters.
Her next visit will be on the same day as the community garden team to have a last tidy up of the year on Saturday 3rd october 10 - 12.
Our garden fairy would appreciate anyone willing to lend a hand

Our last evening walk of the season.
As the sunset πŸŒ… was at 7.15 we set off slightly earlier on a short walk in order to be back before dark.
A circular walk from uppermill through the fields and tracks to greenfield & back along the bridle path.

Thursday night was scheduled evening walk. Despite the weather having been terrible all day. We set off from Uppermill to Diggle and back to Uppermill. Luckily the rain stopped and the sun came out. It was a lovely walk enjoyed by all.

The weekend walk was nice and local. Approximately 4 mile from Diggle, round Uppermill & back.
A table had been booked at Loading Bay for a well earned rest & refuelling at the end of the walk.
As always, lovely walk, great company πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Last Tuesday evenings walk was
the Cat Holes Walk. A popular 2.5-mile (4 km) circular route taking about 1.5 hours. It starts from Marsden railway station, follows the historic Huddersfield Narrow Canal past industrial heritage sites, and returns via the upper valley side with views of Sparth Reservoir and local millponds.
