Established 2009. BFFS British Film Society of the Year 2012 & 2013

Born in 2009, and run by 6 like minded volunteers with a passion for film, the Newcastle Community Cinema is a non-profit making organisation with one aim - to bring great movies, new and old, familiar and less-so, to the people of Newcastle and its surrounding region. Since the gala opening screening of "The Shining" back in Halloween of 2009, to an Annesley Hall bursting with 170 guests, The Cinema has endeavoured to provide a wide range of films on a monthly basis, catering for all tastes in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Boasting a well stocked bar, and a traditional popcorn machine at every show, NCC is a welcome alternative to the multiplex way of enjoying films, and puts the old fashioned excitement back into "Saturday Night At The Movies"! With many exciting event movies and special screenings planned for the next 12 months, if you love film, you'll love NCC!

"Beware the moon, lads πŸŒ•
And stick to the roads πŸ›£
Stay OFF the moors..."

2 in 1 month?
Well, it's October isn't it. Has to be done.
PLUS it's a Stone. Cold. Classic.

"AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON" (18)(1981)
Friday 30th October // 10pm
Dir. by John Landis.

If by any chance you don't know - A huge wolf assaults Jack & David whilst out walking on the Yorkshire Moors, leading to Jack's death. As David recovers in a hospital, he is tormented by nightmares of a mangled Jack warning him that he is becoming a werewolf . Then it all kicks off. 🐺

"Carnivorous lunar activities rarely come any more entertaining than this. Not just gory, but frightening. Not just funny, but clever."
- Empire.

Get involved - it's essentially compulsory. https://www.newcastlecinema.org/whatson/werewolf
