Until Palestine Is Free

There are shoes beside the rubble
that no child came to claim,
photographs beneath the broken glass,
and mothers calling names.
There are fathers digging with bare hands,
though hope is running thin,
still searching every shattered wall
for one small breath within.
How many tears must touch the earth
before the world can see.
These are not numbers on a screen
they are families, just like we.
Yet olive roots grow deep beneath
the ruins and the pain
cut the branches, burn the leaves
they will rise and grow again.
So do not let their voices fade,
or silence hide their scars.
Keep speaking peace, keep asking why,
keep reaching through the dark.
For freedom is not hatred,
and justice is not war
it is every child in Palestine
unafraid behind their door.
And though tonight feels endless,
one truth will still remain
a people holding onto hope
will learn to dream again.
Until the guns fall silent,
until every child can see
there can never be true peace
until Palestine is free.
