Open Safety are ISO9001:2015 ISO13485:2016 by LRQA and ISO 14001:2015 by TUV. Our PPE products are certified by SGS to EN 14143.
Within our ISO9001 system we operate a Functional Safety process that has been certified by SIRA to EN61508 to High SIL 3. Open Safety designs and manufactures equipment that safeguards breathing air for clients who work in hazardous environments: contaminated, underwater or explosive. We are technology leaders in these fields. We appreciate deeply the value of life and health, and breathing gas is intrinsic to that. For this reason we strive for the highest levels of performance and integrity in our products: we are unique in the industry of applying the Gold Standard in Functional Safety, IEC EN 61508, to all our products. We have been manufacturing and shipping diving rebreathers since 2008, gas monitors since 2009. We are working on new products for monitoring the air we breathe in applications that enhance environmental and industrial safety.

A case study for why our Crown Strap engineered into our ALVBOV and DSV - and a default fitment for Functional Safety since 2003 - is a mandatory CE requirement in event of an unconscious diver. That in this case enabled their self rescue due to their equivalent MRS.

DSV/ALVBOV gag straps aka MRS are a mandatory EN14143 requirement for CE certification to prevent the diver drowning if unconscious. They are obviously a default inclusion on all Open Safety rebreathers be it recreational or military. The mouthpiece itself forming a crucial inclusion in factoring in the units Work of Breathing (WOB).
