Happy Rescue Day

That is how long frost and flame have been in foster care. That is a long long time, those that have been to Dawns house might catch a glimse of flame sat in the room but you cannot touch her. Although she will eat chicken from your hand.
Frost is the biggest love bug only if he knows you, otherwise you will not see him in person. But give him a video call and hes the star of the show.
These two really need a home on their own where they can shine and not be forced into loving people.

🐾 Looking for a Forever Home — Meet Glitzy! 🐾

💛 Meet our precious little survivor, Glitzy 💛

This sweet little girl was found in a garden, where sadly she’d been fed nothing but custard creams and digestive biscuits — no proper food at all. When Glitzy came to us, she was soaking wet, covered in fleas, and suffering badly from worms. Her tummy was very upset from all the wrong food, and we were so worried for her.

But look at Glitzy now! 🥰

We’ve nursed her back to health — treated the fleas and worms, given her gentle care and special food to soothe her tummy, and she’s been so brave through it all. It took a little time, but she’s made a wonderful recovery.

Glitzy can be a little bit nervous at first, but once she trusts you, she is a total love bug who just adores people and wants nothing more than to be loved in return. 💛

✅ Fully treated and healthy now
✅ Will be neutered, microchipped and vaccinated before leaving
✅ Ready to find her very own forever family

Adoption fees apply,
£50 holding deposit also required, non refundable.

Goose is playful, affectionate & loving. Hes favourite toy is a little mouse. He’s a little shy but he absolutely loves a treat & you can have him purring away with a head/neck scratch.
Goose and his siblings started life on the streets with their mum Berry.
So the move of homes could make them a little shyer than they are at the foster homes.

Meet Mckenna, we thought we remember Angie by naming a kitten after her.

⚠️ "RESCUER" — A title, not a shield ⚠️

Something is seriously wrong in the rescue world.

All you have to do is look at your local Facebook groups and neighbourhood apps to see these backyard rescuers who work within loopholes.

When someone says they rescue animals, people think that's great — and stop looking at what happens next. These types of rescuers love a pat on the back and praise. They've worked out that by using the word "rescue," they can raise vast amounts of money, and fast.

TRUE RESCUE STRUGGLE TO ACCEPT THAT PRAISE, BECAUSE THEY TRULY DO IT FOR THE LOVE OF THE ANIMALS

We are fully aware of several such back yard rescues operating in Luton :
📍 Vestry Close, Dallow area
📍 Trent Road, Bishopscote area
📍 Cardigan Street, Liverpool Road area
📍 Top end of Wigmore

But what's the reality?

Often these people cram 30 to 40 cats into tiny flats or houses.
Kept in cages stacked 3 or 4 high.
Some even kept in lofts in sweltering heat.
All for a price tag.

"I just can't say no — I have such a big heart."

And sometimes that might even be true. They may genuinely love animals. They're just not very good at actually caring for them.

Love and a big heart cannot clean litter trays, pay vet bills, provide proper medical care, food, space, or human interaction.

Overcrowding is NOT RESCUE — it is simply HOARDING.

These people always seem particularly keen on an unneutered female. Why? Because she provides a better income when it comes to selling kittens for profit. She becomes nothing more than £££££ to them.

But the public never questions it. Because you're a "rescuer."

People donate everything — including money for every GoFundMe. And heaven forbid someone does start asking questions? They defend you fiercely.

Maybe once upon a time you truly cared. Maybe you started purely because you wanted to help. But somewhere along the way, you realised you could make a lot of money from it. And the animals became secondary.

What everyone needs to understand: rescue isn't about how many cats you can collect. It's about doing the right thing by them.

Quality care will always matter more than quantity.
