Autumn adventures 🍁🍂
Lots of bug hunting and forest fun for the week
We were very safe as we were conker drilling & climbing along with leaf face making and painting

Adding extra challenges to the slide resulted in lots of laughs

Clay play, junk modelling and drawing shared the children imaginative skills
Responsive to the childrens interests we had the first aid kit out as they were bandaging each other up
Friday finished off with homemade soup making and a dance party 🥳

Reminder schools are off next week for october holidays and following Monday in service day- a few spaces left if anyone needs childcare 😍

After a request from 2 children for comic book strips -this week we have had a superheroes theme with lots of colouring in, climbing and adventuring, building jigsaws, small world play all involving marvel, dc, paw patrol etc

As we still had lots of our donated apples we have been making bird feeders up the forest, apple muffin making, apple crumbles and printing pictures

Only 1 week till the October holidays 🥰

Lots of time spent outside this week- playing on the slide, painting and drawing, mud kitchen creating (some lovely sounding soups & coffees 😆)

Lilly the hamster has been meeting more new friends -she will be looking forward to going home 🥰

The children have enjoyed playing with the little figures and making their own imaginative play with the loose parts

Only a few weeks left till the holidays 🫣

A week of fantastic sharing, turn taking and listening

We have been up in the forest adventuring, climbing and tie dying
We have a slide we are going to for up in the forest but in the meantime the children were having a turn following the rules of 1 person at a time, mats down, on bottom- even the rain didnt stop them having turns

As we had lots of oranges we added some to the water tray for cutting , squeezing and stirring
This then led some children to ask if they could make their own orange juice to drink

We have had to turn take and problem solve how to get the light bulb electric kits working and the ice cream shop will be sold out with the great role play

Our biggest excitement of the week though has definitely been Lily the hamster who is here for a visit while 1 of our children is on holiday 😀 some children said they have never seen or held a hamster before while other said they were hamster experts. The children are going to help us to keep her safe, warm, fed and happy 😍

It's like an early christmas 😀

We had some donation money so the staff were given a challenge to chose new toys they thought the children would like with a set budget

Looking forward to hearing or seeing the responses to the shop. Wonder what will become a favourite 😍

School had bike & scooter day so the children were using their own with us

Some amazing drawing and crafting
Fantastic role play using the tea sets and play food and more incredible marble towers

Lots of conversation and debating on the snacks for the rest of the month- its amazing how often the children ask for the same snacks when being offered choices 😄

We have loved being up in the forest all week. Clean up challenges have led to a big litter pick, moving the dead branches to make a bug house, berry bashing, nature names & faces and general climbing and roaming fun🍃😀

Lots of imaginative play inside with the small figures, using the oranges in the water tray to make juice, building with the marble runs and crafting

New friends joining us, everyone back to a bit more normal routine and hearing what they have been up to in the holidays

Jigsaws, games, crafting and using imagination in their play inside with the babies and hair dressing

Outside has been busy with our mud kitchen, gymnastics and dancing on the mats, loads of football skills being shared

Back to school 🥳 and a bit of a quieter club as holiday club has been so busy

Lots of chilling & relaxing and playing games or crafting

Outdoor fun in the rain and the sun
