🚫 Please note: There is NO Friday night ice skating this week.

🏆🥌 FCCC AWARDS EVENING 2025/26 – SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARD 🥌🏆

A TEAM EFFORT WORTH CELEBRATING! 👏

Our final photograph from the 2025/26 FCCC Awards Evening celebrates a very special group of curlers – our Curl-Forfar Maxwell Trophy-winning team! 🏆

This fantastic bunch of guys showed what true commitment, teamwork and determination are all about.

They gave up their own time, took time off work and made personal financial commitments to represent Curl-Forfar in this prestigious competition.

After battling through the qualifying stages against Stirling, Kinross, Edinburgh and the Borders, they travelled to Hamilton for the finals, where they overcame strong opposition from Ayr and Greenacres to lift the Maxwell Trophy! 🏆🥇

But what made this achievement even more special was the way they approached it – representing Curl-Forfar with pride, playing as ONE TEAM, supporting each other every step of the way and showing an incredible determination to win.

👏 Well done, guys! You did yourselves, your clubs and Curl-Forfar proud. A thoroughly deserved Special Recognition Award!

A fitting way to round off our 2025/26 Awards celebrations – recognising the people who make Curl-Forfar so special! ❤️🥌

Another 2025/26 FCCC award winner to celebrate. The FCCC Sportsmanship Award went to George Christie of Pitkerro CC. Despite being very competitive on the ice George always treats every game the same with a smile and encouragement for less experienced curlers. Likewise off the ice George enjoys the social side of the game with many stories to tell. Congrats George truly well deserved and keep on curling.

A slightly different version of “The Poznan” at this mornings coaching lesson. A great way to get going to kick the week off with a warm up and curling 🥌 coaching.

Introducing the FCCC Most Improved Curler Award winner for 2025/26. Shona Kilgour of Fothringham CC. As part of Team White and playing for several clubs, Shona has shown considerable improvement over the past few seasons while also sharing her knowledge and skills with Forfar Young Curlers. Well deserved, Shona.

Limited places are still available for our Try Curling sessions today. Arrive at least 15 minutes before the session, wear warm, loose-fitting clothing, and bring a clean pair of trainers; we will take it from there.

It is time for Super Skate Sunday with something for everyone on the ice today.

Continuing to congratulate our FCCC Award winners for 2025/26, today we focus on The Club of the Year, won by St Andrews CC. A curling club that demonstrates all that is good about curling and has taken massive steps forward in recent years. St Andrews Curling Club compete in the Curl-Forfar leagues, makes use of our catering services, has reached out to and mixed with their local community, attracting new curlers to the club and arranges social events for their members to keep the club fun. A truly well-deserved award; congratulations.
