Run Fintona Run

💚🤍 Best of luck tomorrow! 🤍💚

From everyone involved in Run Fintona Run, we want to wish Fintona Pearses Senior Men the very best of luck in tomorrow's County Final!

We're proud to be part of the Pearses family and grateful for the continued use of the club grounds, which help make Run Fintona Run possible.

The whole community is behind you. Give it everything, lads! 💚🤍🏆

This day last week, the stress levels were HIGH in the Run Fintona Run committee! 😂

There was no time for dinner, nobody knew what day it was, and I’m pretty sure there hasn’t been a single T-shirt folded in any of our houses since! 👕😂

But looking back now… what a morning we had! 🙌

The weather was on our side ☀️, the vibes were vibing, and Fintona absolutely came alive! 💚

For our 10th anniversary, this was exactly what we wanted to achieve — a community event that brought people together. The encouragement along the route, the noise from the crowds, the sheer volume of runners and walkers taking over Main Street, and the support from start to finish was something really special.

And that doesn't happen because of one committee… it happens because of a community. ❤️

A HUGE thank you to:

👏 Our sponsors — your support makes the event possible and helps us keep building it year after year.

👏 Our volunteers, stewards and marshals — standing out in all corners of the route, keeping everyone safe, encouraging runners and walkers and making sure everything ran smoothly.

👏 Our runners and walkers — from those chasing a PB to those simply getting themselves around the 5K… you all made the morning what it was.

👏 Our C25K group — 45 people who started this journey together and crossed that finish line. What an achievement! 🥹👏

👏 The finish-line team, registration crew, refreshment crew, photographers and everyone behind the scenes — including the people who probably never got to actually watch the race because they were too busy making it happen!

👏 The traffic — especially those who patiently waited while Fintona was temporarily taken over! 🚗😂
And to the few who weren't quite as patient… we'll let you away with it this time! 😜

👏 Care for Cancer — we were proud to support such an important cause as part of this year's event.

👏 And finally, everyone who came out to support, clap, cheer, shout encouragement, ring a bell, wave from the roadside or simply stand and watch. You might think it was only a few minutes of your Saturday morning, but that encouragement meant an awful lot to the people taking part.

From the first registration to the last person safely across the finish line, it truly felt like Fintona was behind us.

That was the 10th anniversary we wanted. ❤️

Run Fintona Run 2026 — done and dusted. ✅

Thank you, Fintona. You were some craic. 💚
