🏗️ Bespoke Truss Fabrication

Work is underway at Struct Steel Engineering on 9 bespoke steel trusses for a another Lidl store.

Each truss spans an impressive 28 metres and weighs approximately 3 tonnes.

The truss system is designed to create large, open floor spaces without the need for internal support columns — improving customer flow and providing greater flexibility with the store layout.

Another substantial fabrication project progressing through the workshop. 🔩

On behalf of the management and staff of Struct Steel Engineering Ltd, I would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to the family of the Late William (Willie) Telfer at this very sad time.
WIllie was a highly valued and much-respected member of our team, serving as Senior Draughtsman for the last five years. Throughout his time with us, he played an integral role in the successful delivery of a number of significant construction projects. His expertise, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to excellence left a lasting mark on the work we do and the standards we continue to uphold.
Beyond his professional contributions, Willie was a trusted and highly respected colleague. He was someone others could rely on, and his knowledge, dedication, and quiet professionalism earned him the admiration of all who had the privilege of working alongside him.
Willie’s legacy is reflected not only in the projects he helped bring to life, but in the respect he earned and the example he set. As the saying goes, “The true measure of a person’s legacy is not what they leave behind, but the lasting impact they have on the people and the work around them.” Willie’s impact will not be forgotten.
He will be sorely missed by everyone here and fondly remembered in the years to come.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Mandy and daughter Amanda at this difficult time.
