We're thrilled to welcome our friends The Enchanted Cinema back to Discovery Film Festival! This magical, interactive cinema event is an unforgettable experience for ages 5+.

This year's show celebrates the 100th anniversary of The Adventures of Prince Achmed - the oldest surviving animated feature film in the world. Using hands, voices and other sounds, we will add rhythm and effects to the stories on screen.

Tickets are Donate What You Can, from £0 to £8 – book now and join us on Sat 7 November.

It's time to take a look at what's been happening in our Print Studio.

At the start of the month, we welcomed tutor Beth Robertson back for a second Illuminate a Page masterclass. This three-day course allows participants to illustrate some chosen words using wood engraving and letterpress techniques.

Using moveable type and decorative borders, members of the class set their type and locked in their patterns. These were then printed on one of our beautiful Victorian presses. Take a look at the fantastic results!

If you're interested in having a go at letterpress or wood engraving, you don't need to dive in with a masterclass - we have some great introductory classes coming up. Head to our website to find out more.

The great Juliette Binoche and Tom Courtenay star in critically acclaimed Queen at Sea, playing now in DCA Cinema. Don't miss this powerful drama that Little White Lies calls a "vital film."

Enjoy these films for little ones at Discovery Film Festival, starting Sat 31 October! Tickets are Donate What You Can, and we've got free creative activities to try too. Visit our website to find out more, or pick up a leaflet at DCA Box Office.

• Shorts for Tinies and Wee Ones – sweet short films from around the world.
