Hands on, face to face injury and pain management -today Old fashioned, hands on, injury and pain management and advice.

Exercise, what's it good for? Well....arthritis, back pain, joint pain, weight loss, diabetes, the prevention some lifestyle related cancers, osteoporosis, mental health, lungs, balance, mobility. Easy and doesn't come in a bottle from the doctor. ( If you do have a problem that is persisting and you are unsure what to do, perhaps have a chat with your GP first). Find a friend and get out and exercise together.

If you can't exercise through pain, perhaps we can help you reach your goals. Our number is: 07903 439235, leave a message and we will return your call, or you could book in using our online diary, you can find it here: https://osteopathy-works-ltd.au1.cliniko.com/bookings . If you don't trust dodgy links find us by tapping 'Osteopathyworks.co.uk' into your browser bar.

Hope this helps.

If you have sports, gardening or DIY injuries ( maybe not the ones that involve power tools and sharp blades, A&E is more likely to be your friend there) or you have hurt yourself at work, we may be able to help you back to normality. 07903439235 is our office number. This link gets you to our online booking diary, evenat three in the morning: https://osteopathy-works-ltd.au1.cliniko.com/bookings .

Well, it appears that summer is drifting away and autumn is beginning to show its face with nature slowing down , (except for the lunatic squirrels which think it great fun to run in front of my bike and put me in a ditch!) It is probably not such a good idea to slow down too much. If you can keep active, sn**ch a bit of regular exercise when the kids are at gymnastics/ swimming/ footie ( the list is endless) rather than doom scrolling ( yup I do this too), it will help keep you fit, healthier and, out of trouble ( in a musculoskeletal sense). Staying strong reduces the liklihood of injury to back, hips, knees, shoulders. But like all things you can also have too much of a good thing, so, exercise by progressively increasing load and intensity. If you are finding you cannot exercise because of pain and injury call us, we can help to get you back on form. Our number is: 07903439235. Our online booking facility, available 24 hours a day is here: https://osteopathy-works-ltd.au1.cliniko.com/bookings . If you would rather not click on a link you can find us online at Osteopathyworks.co.uk

Hope this helps.

We are working with Emma Hughes of Parkinson's UK North West Team to explore whether there is a need for additional physical activity opportunities for people living with Parkinson’s in Nantwich and the surrounding rural area.

We are currently carrying out a short questionnaire to help us establish whether there is sufficient local demand for new provision to make a potential funding application worthwhile. We want to understand people’s current experiences of physical activity, what makes it easier or harder to take part, what kinds of activities they might be interested in, and what would make participation more accessible.

We would be very grateful if you could share the questionnaire with anyone living with Parkinson’s who you feel might be interested in contributing.

The questionnaire takes around five minutes to complete and is voluntary. It does not ask for names or email addresses, and responses will be considered anonymously.

Complete the questionnaire here:
https://www.movementinmind.uk/parkinsons-physical-activity/

We are particularly keen to hear from people who are currently not taking part in regular physical activity, as understanding the barriers they face is an important part of establishing whether and how new provision could reach those who might benefit from it.

The findings will form part of a feasibility study and, if there is sufficient evidence of need and demand, will help inform a potential application to the Parkinson’s UK funding programme.

There are also "Keep me informed" links on the webpage and in the comments below for anyone who would like to receive occasional updates as the feasibility study progresses. These are open to both people living with Parkinson’s and professionals, organisations or others who are interested in the development of local provision.

Your support in helping us reach people who may benefit would be greatly appreciated. The more representative the responses, the better we can understand what would - and wouldn't - work locally.

Thank you for helping us explore what might be possible.

Should you consider staying away from the beaches and hotspots this Bank holiday and decide to sort out the garden now we have had a drop or two of rain, consider this before shifting a few old sods ( grass, not the old man!). It is likely that your time in the garden this summer has been less active, so you are not as fit as you might be - this is a BAD BACK RED FLAG! The ground will be heavier than it was before the rain (obvious, I know, but it has to be said) - this is also a BAD BACK RED FLAG! Be careful out there and, if you are not, this is our office number: 07903439235. This is our online booking link, available 24 hours a day, for those moment when, at 03:00 you think ' What have I done ?' https://osteopathy-works-ltd.au1.cliniko.com/bookings

Over the years I have noticed patients who have visited us often don't want to engage with post treatment activity/ rehab/ exercises, call it what you want. It is really important. Becoming more active is good for the body, brain and heart. Finding the time to do so is not always easy however, it makes a huge difference to one's health. Fear of re-injury plays a role in resistance to exercising after being laid low by a strain or pulled muscle. Pretty much all physical injuries will improve with the right treatment and a course of rehabilitation under guidance.
If you have an injury and are unable to progress give us a call, we can help your healing proces and guide you towards a better outcome. Our practice number is: 07903 439235. This is our online booking link: https://osteopathy-works-ltd.au1.cliniko.com/bookings and this is our website: https://osteopathyworks.co.uk/

Hope this helps.
