After The Reign - Feet Of Clay (2026) Button Up Records

Feet Of Clay don't believe in rushing things.

After years of playing the clubs and festivals they've finally capitulated to the 'when are you going to release an album lads? question with After The Reign.

It's an album of songs that evocatively walks in the footsteps of Madchester. The period before everything that was interesting about that era was commodified as brit pop. There's some sixties psychedelia rubbing up against The Stone Roses , a bit of Oasis, and you know the score.

It's big prints in the sand that they are following, but they have big shoes and fans of getting MWI in a bucket hat on will no doubt get on very well with the ten tracks that make up the album.

There's some tasty guitar work throughout, and on Crash it sounds like Pink Floyd being dragged through the Hacienda. While Everything & Nothing could be james in a reflective mood.

Big shoes indeed, and arguably worth the wait.

Vinyl and Compact Disc available from Button Up Records.
