WHY THIS AD WORKS

This is a good example of a strong local ad:

Clear offer → £18 including food (easy decision)
Specific date + location → no confusion
Different to the norm → stands out straight away

Only thing missing?
👉 Could be even stronger with a quick headline like “An Evening of Mediumship in Basildon”

If you’re a local business, this is exactly the kind of ad that gets attention 👍

❤️ FEEL GOOD FRIDAY

A shoutout to all the local food banks across Basildon, Southend, Thurrock, Canvey, Benfleet & Rayleigh 👏

Week in, week out they’re there for people who need it most — no fuss, just getting on with it.

With things how they are at the moment, demand is only going one way… and they still keep showing up.

If you can spare a few bits in your next shop, it genuinely goes a long way.

💡 MARKETING MONDAY

Why this ad works 👇

This one from Rocialle Healthcare is a great example of keeping it clear and local.

✔️ Straight to the point – you instantly know what they do
✔️ Pricing upfront – builds trust straight away
✔️ Local details clear – phone number, address, website all easy to find
✔️ Range shown visually – not just telling you, actually showing products

No fluff, no overthinking — just everything a customer needs in one place.

That’s what good local advertising looks like.

If your ad isn’t this clear, you’re probably losing people before they even read it.

Simple works 👊

**Feel Good Friday 👍**

Some good news locally this week.

Work is underway in **Basildon to bring empty houses back into use**, helping turn long-unused properties into homes for local residents.

Long-term empty homes can sit unused for years, so getting them back into use makes a real difference for families who need housing and helps improve neighbourhoods too.

Good to see positive work happening locally 👏
