We are almost at the end of our Introducing... series - have you discovered anyone new? Today we take in those artists and makers from P to Q, a round of applause for Paula Silvester Pete Cram Art Phoebe's Room Scotland Pretty Rubbish Mosaic Art PotteryHaven Quirk Scotland

Last summer Banchory Community Trust launched the Banchory Tartan, designed and made by Lochcarron of Scotland . Initially, we started with the scarf and then added throws before bringing in the fabric (and a Banchory tartan kilt has been made!) The trust also commissioned Northern Nomes and Kindred Makes to provide some nomes, key fobs and keepsake decorations.
The tartan has also inspired other makers in the Studio to incorporate it in some of their work - IvyMatilda has a whole range of items including bookmarks and mug rugs, Lynda at Phoebe's Room Scotland has designed a range of bags and you can commission Tartan Touch to make you a fabulous dress.

This week Carol introduces some of her favourite items that are currently in store for you - you might also recognise Carol as the face behind Repurposed by Georgie !

Carol's top of the picks include the new in Banchory tea towel from Banchory Community Trust in collaboration with Kindred Makes . A fabulous and useful yoga mat case made by Mabel's Stitches. Or how about some original artwork from Artstoricalart Also the rainbow necklace to match her bracelet from Quirk Scotland - all of these are in store and available now!

A round of applause people for our artists and makers who are at the midpoint of the alphabet - and another great representation of the broad scope of what we have here in the Studio.

Meet Lisa, one of our newest volunteers, she is very happy to share all of the things that she loves in store. She has chosen her top three (although I think the pouch may have already made it's way home with Lisa!)

The pouch is by Mabel's Stitches and although this one may have left, there are similar available. Next we have a fabulous colourful tote bag from Repurposed by Georgie - these are all made from recycled materials and they are also one offs, so if you find one you like my advice would be to get it there and then. And finally, perfect for this time of year are these knitted mini pumpkins from IvyMatilda

As the weather turns, let's cheer ourselves up with some more artists and makers. And whilst we don't want to lead anyone astray, it is the end of the month and we have plenty of loveliness to treat yourself with...so come along to Studio 1 and see what you can find!

Studio 1 has always been pleased to stock Deeside Lavender, a product range which referenced the old lavender fields of Banchory so we were very sad when they told us they were stopping all production.
Because we know that you love these lavender products as much as us, we have sourced from Deeside Lavender their remaining stock but when this has gone it's gone for good...our suggestion? Get along to Studio 1 to stock up!
