Mercedes Benz E-class.

Long term returning customer with great taste in vehicles bringing his latest purchase in for a whole host of work!

Medium/heavy paint correction performed to achieve 95%+ perfection overall with paint coatings applied to protect. Wheels, glass and trim also ceramic coated.

Drivers door jamb area had a nasty dent so the car was sent to JC Autobody for this to be repaired and painted prior to us installing brand new kick plates. Matthew Morrissey Paintless Dent Removal came in and tackled some dents too! Arches were given a thorough deep clean detail and the brake calipers were refurbished in a metallic grey to compliment the bodywork with new decals supplied and installed. Customer bought brand new discs and pads which we also fitted after treating them to some vht satin black on edges and centres. Window wiper arms were refurbished in satin black to rectify some fading and new wipers installed. Tailgate was de-badged with a genuine AMG badge installed. We also arranged to have a brand new set of tyres and TPMS valves fitted while the car was with us.

While doing the interior we fitted a new centre console cover and replaced a broken piece of chrome trim within the cup holder surround.

The black window surrounds were heavily stained so we vinyl wrapped these gloss black to permanently repair.

A big 'to do' list now ticked off and ready for the road!

The next one in for the full underside treatment!

Toyota MK4 Supra!

A car that needs no introduction...but in this case, does need a lot of attention on the underside!

The prior owner to the current one took the liberty of having the car 'undersealed' and we are going to take a look at why this was a mistake. Hence why it is now in for a full recommision.

On top the car presents very well with no corrosion or problems on the bodywork. The underside is a totally different scenario.

First things first, we need to strip the car of all its components..... Engine, gearbox, subframes and all suspension, heatshields, fuel tank, fuel lines, brake lines, brackets, propshaft, body panels, radiators, coolers, abs pump, servo, looms etc etc to give us clear unhindered access to every single gap, crevice, corner and area. Once stripped we get a better picture of what needs done overall. Might I add, this is normally a pretty straight forward task....but when you are fighting with hardware thats double its thickness in sticky tar paint, it becomes messy, hard and near impossible to remove every nut and bolt without having the majority snap or round and need cut off instead.

Now a 'quick' note on the 'undersealing' treatment and why I believe it has caused more problems than it claims to fix!

Let's be honest.... it is quite possibly the most hideous thing you could do to a car. It looks absolutely horrible! Its sticky, thick and horrific to work around. Spraying this stuff all over suspension, brake lines, nuts, bolts and fixings makes any one who needs to work on the car moving forward have a hard time! Sockets don't fit over the hardware due to how thick this stuff is applied, more often than not, you will have to replace items because of this treatment where if not applied you probably wouldn't have. Is it really saving you costs down the line? Speak to your mechanic, they'll probably tell you otherwise after working around this stuff.

Its sticky, so what does salt, dirt and grime do? Get stuck to it. Again, making it look horrible and accelerating any corrosion process to exposed areas not covered with it.

In this cars case, they've applied this product over everything they could access! But what about the areas they couldn't access like behind the fuel tank, behind heatshields, behind guards and plastic items? You guessed it... rust starting to form! The only real way to product metal is to cover every surface, these companies aren't stripping these areas to get that access, they are spraying what they can see.... so are they truly fully protecting the metal.... no! They have also clearly sprayed it all over already well formed corrosion, take a look at the fuel tank guard... huge rust hole, covered in sticky black paint.

In areas I have scraped the underseal back to expose what its covering... and what did I find... Brown/orange well established corrosion that its hiding. Have a look at some of the pictures! So how well is it truly inhibiting rust from forming, growing and spreading? Ill let you be the judge.

While I do agree products like this have their place in the market to protect commercial vehicles such as vans, pick up trucks, lorries etc.... in my opinion it has no place on personal vehicles such as performance cars or future and present classics. There are far superior products on the market that can do a better job at protecting while also looking great at the same time... such as industrial grade air applied ceramic coatings and clear spray able wax based coatings. All similar in cost to apply as this stuff is!

It looks like I've got a lot of hours of mess ahead of me to remove this treatment!

Dougie applied last year but missed out as our German section was already full so we are delighted to have him along this year. Brand new Audi RS3 with some lovely spec in for a new car detailing package.

Full front bumper and headlight PPF installed to protect the vulnerable front end from stone chips and road rash!

Rest of the car was in exceptional condition overall having been well prepped by the supplying dealership so only required the lightest machine polish to cleanse and gloss the paint with the gloss black sections seeing some light correction. Multi year paintwork coatings then installed as well as the Alloy wheels inside and outside, brake calipers and ceramic disc hubs, exterior glass, interior leather and interior fabric too!

Another one in for some extensive correction!

This one was actually Pink when it was dropped off! Years of sun bleaching and poor washes had taken its toll on the paintwork so it required a heavy 2 stage machine polish to bring it back to life.

This one came in needing a lot of attention! Paintwork was in a terrible state with a varied extent of damage from general wash marring right the way through to deep scratches and scuffs.

A multi set heavy correction performed to rectify, remove and improve the deeper damage upto 95% prior to a focused refinement and glossing polish to achieve total clarity and depth of colour right upto every single edge, ledge and contour!

Multi year paintwork coatings, alloy wheel coatings, caliper coatings, exhaust tip coatings, exterior glass, exterior trim, interior leather, interior fabric and engine bay coatings applied!

Brake disc hubs and edges refurbed too!

Fully restoring the aesthetic condition!
