Esse é o tipo de áudio que a gente gosta de receber. O Igor chegou até nós com a perna muito inchada, com dificuldade para andar e praticamente sem conseguir movimentá-la. Ele já tinha tentado gelo e outras medidas para controlar o inchaço e o processo inflamatório, mas ainda estava bastante limitado. Durante o atendimento, utilizamos o CryoScreen, da Cryonic, um equipamento de neurocrioestimulação, aplicado na região da sutura como parte do acompanhamento fisioterapêutico, com o objetivo de auxiliar no controle do processo inflamatório, cicatrização e recuperação. Study demonstrate for the first time that sub-chronically applied local cryotherapy is an effective and well-tolerated treatment in adjuvant-induced arthritis. Furthermore,
study provided novel insights into the cytokine pathways involved in Local cryotherapy's local and systemic anti-inflammatory effects, which were mainly IL-6/IL-17A-driven and TNF-α independent in this model.

🔹 Clinical Evidence Supporting Cryotherapy in Early Rehabilitation after Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) 🔹 A recent randomized controlled study has demonstrated the clinical efficacy of integrating cryotherapy into the early rehabilitation of patients following total knee arthroplasty. Involving 43 patients, the study compared two cohorts: one receiving cryotherapy in conjunction with standard rehabilitation, and a control group undergoing rehabilitation alone. Both groups followed a consistent exercise protocol using a continuous passive motion (CPM) device, with the intervention group applying cryotherapy sessions twice daily for two weeks. 📊 Clinical outcomes: ✅ Statistically significant improvements were observed in the cryotherapy group regarding: — Knee flexion range of motion — Pain reduction — Edema control — 10-meter walking test (10MWT) performance (p < 0.05 between groups; p < 0.001 pre- to post-test) Conclusion: The adjunctive use of cryotherapy during early rehabilitation can meaningfully enhance joint mobility, reduce post-operative pain and swelling, and improve functional gait capacity in TKA patients. These findings support cryotherapy as an effective and practical intervention to optimize post-surgical recovery trajectories.
