Yesterday, August 24th, marked six years since Riley Gale (1986–2020), the voice and soul of Power Trip and one of the most impactful figures in contemporary crossover thrash and hardcore, passed away.

To speak of Riley is not only to recall immortal tracks like “Executioner’s Tax (Swing of the Axe)” or the relentless force of Nightmare Logic. It is to remember a frontman who understood extreme music as a tool for transformation, community, and social justice. Riley built bridges where others erected barriers, tirelessly supported community causes, and always maintained an impeccable ethic within the underground scene.

He left us far too soon, at the age of 34, but his voice, his rage, and his humanity continue to resonate in every pit, every drum cymbal, and every riff.

Gone, but never forgotten. Rest in Power, Riley. 🪓🔥
