I didn't have the courage to cut this crochet doily. ​I wanted to use this crochet doily in a creative way. Leaving the doily intact and draping it organically across the front of the bag gives it a sense of movement and a bohemian vibe that cutting it never could have achieved.

​Crocheting a detailed fan-motif doily like this takes a significant amount of patience and skill. ​Giving vintage handcrafted pieces a second life is a beautiful way to rescue that incredible patience and artistry from sitting forgotten in drawers or charity shops.
