That’s exactly why coffee loses its rich taste when you have a blocked nose. The taste buds on our tongue act as sensors—detecting sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and umami notes. They send these signals, along with temperature and mouthfeel, straight to your brain, which processes everything to reveal the coffee flavor we love.

ကော်ဖီဆိုတာ ကျွန်တော်တို့ နေ့စဉ်ဘဝရဲ့ မပါမဖြစ် အစိတ်အပိုင်းတစ်ခုပါ။ ဒါပေမယ့် ရာသီဥတု အပြောင်းအလဲတွေကြောင့် ကော်ဖီစိုက်ပျိုးရေးမှာ အခက်အခဲတွေ ရှိလာနိုင်တာကို သင်သိပါသလား? အဲဒီလို အခက်အခဲတွေကို ရင်ဆိုင်ကျော်လွှားပြီး အနာဂတ်မှာ ပိုမိုကောင်းမွန်တဲ့ ကော်ဖီမျိုးစေ့တွေ ရရှိလာဖို့အတွက် World Coffee Research (WCR) က အစွမ်းကုန် ကြိုးစားဖန်တီးနေပါတယ်။ ၂၀၂၆ ခုနှစ် နိုင်ငံတကာ ကော်ဖီနေ့ (International Coffee Day) ကို ကြိုတင်ဂုဏ်ပြုရင်း ကမ္ဘာတစ်ဝှမ်းက ကော်ဖီစိုက်ပျိုးသူတွေနဲ့ ကော်ဖီချစ်သူတွေအတွက် ပိုမိုကောင်းမွန်တဲ့ ကော်ဖီအနာဂတ်တစ်ခုကို ဖော်ဆောင်နိုင်ဖို့ ရည်ရွယ်တဲ့ ဒီကမ္ဘာလုံးဆိုင်ရာ ကြိုးပမ်းမှုမှာ Sithar Coffee က Proud Member တစ်ဦးအဖြစ် ပါဝင်နေတဲ့အကြောင်းကို ဂုဏ်ယူစွာ မျှဝေလိုက်ပါတယ်။

၂၀၂၂ ခုနှစ်မှာ စတင်ခဲ့တဲ့ WCR ရဲ့ Innovea Global Breeding Network စီမံကိန်းမှာဆိုရင် နိုင်ငံပေါင်း (၁၁) နိုင်ငံက ပူးပေါင်းပါဝင်နေပြီး ရာသီဥတုဒဏ်ကို ခံနိုင်ရည်ရှိမယ့် Arabica နဲ့ Robusta ကော်ဖီမျိုးသစ်တွေကို သုတေသနပြု ဖော်ထုတ်နေတာပါ။ လာမယ့် ၂၀၃၁ ခုနှစ်မှာတော့ ဒီစီမံကိန်းကနေ ရရှိလာတဲ့ အရည်အသွေးမြင့် Arabica မျိုးသစ်တွေကို စတင်စမ်းသပ် စိုက်ပျိုးသွားတော့မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ နောင်လာနောက်သားတွေအထိ အရည်အသွေးကောင်းမွန်တဲ့ ကော်ဖီတွေကို ဆက်လက် သောက်သုံးနိုင်ဖို့အတွက် ကမ္ဘာ့နိုင်ငံအသီးသီးက အဖွဲ့ဝင်ပေါင်း (၂၀၀) ကျော်နဲ့အတူ Sithar Coffee ကလည်း အကောင်းဆုံးမျိုးစေ့တွေကို ယခုကတည်းက စတင်စိုက်ပျိုးရင်း လက်တွဲကြိုးစားသွားမှာပါ။

Through WCR's Innovea Global Breeding Network, which launched in 2022, 11 collaborating countries are coming together to accelerate the genetic improvement of both Arabica and Robusta beans. The exciting part is that the very first Arabica varieties from this project will be ready to move into field trials by 2031. By planting better seeds today alongside over 200 members worldwide, we are helping to cultivate resilience for generations to come.
