We know that you have been waiting patiently to hike the National Trail and we are working to make all segments accessible to you our hikers by the end of this year.
So far, all segments *EXCEPT* Segment 2 (Soufriere Estate to Bellevue Chopin); Segment 8 (First Camp to Petit Macoucherie); and Segment 9 (Petit Macoucherie to Colihaut Heights) are accessible.
The others, although accessible, do require crossings, safety features and signage in certain areas. For this reason, we emphasize extreme caution when hiking.
We urge all hikers/ stakeholders to contact our office at the Forestry Division on Valley Road, Roseau for detailed information and hike registration ahead of any proposed hiking! Additionally, more information including safety precautions and purchase of segment passes etc., will be included in an official press release next week. STAY TUNED and THANK YOU for your patience and hard work in getting us back on our feet...
