You never know what you’ll find growing around Mango Garden Cottages.

Today Sylvia is showing us moringa and sharing a few of the ways it can be used.

The young beans can be eaten much like string beans, while the leaves can be enjoyed in salads or used to make tea. Once the beans are dried, they can also be ground into a powder.

Just another little discovery from the garden. There’s always something growing, blooming or waiting for Sylvia to tell us about.

You leave Mango Garden for a couple hours and somehow there’s bush rum, an incense tree and a couple waterfalls involved. 😂

And yes, the incense tree is a real thing. The aromatic resin from the lansan tree is traditionally burned as incense in Dominica.

From the earth, straight into the kitchen, and in this case, into a glass of golden milk.
