Five years ago today we first opened the doors of this wonderful little pub with a clear vision in mind. To make it the best bar in the world.

In those five years the people who have come and continue to come have made it to us, just that. The staff, the musicians, the artists, the sports lovers, the creamy pint adorers, the T-shirt hoarders, the DJ’s the dogs, the frogs, the families and most importantly the community. Because at the heart of it that’s what this pub is, it’s a community of people who come together whenever it suits to laugh and cry or maybe just see a friendly face. Some come from around the corner and some come from abroad to see us and all our welcome. We may be the caretakers but the pub belongs to you.

Lots happens in five years we’ve become parents and grandparents and we’ve lost dear friends. And in that time we’ve also watched some of our very first customers also become parents and grandparents and also lose loved ones. In fact at times the ones we’ve lost have affected us all because that’s what happens when communities lose, we grieve together, just like we laugh together and we sing together and we love together.

In the beginning we had our sceptics, what do three Irish fellas know about running a bar in Denmark? We knew bars in Ireland but mostly we knew people and that’s what we’ve always been interested in, people.

So thank you to everyone who’s crossed these doors and been apart of it. You all know who you are. A lot happens in 5 years, here’s to 5 more 💚

P.S. We’re having a massive bday party on Sat Oct 3rd because well, throwing massive sessions is obviously what we do best. See you there
