Auf Hochwasser folgt Kofferchaos am Flughafen Bangkok

Nach den schweren Überschwemmungen in Bangkok kämpft Thai Airways mit massiven Problemen. Rund 100 Soldaten des thailändischen Militärs helfen nach Regierungsangaben bei der Gepäckabfertigung, mehr als 5.000 Koffer warten noch auf ihre Besitzer. Thai Airways muss in den kommenden Tagen rund ein Drittel der Abflüge streichen. Betroffen sind auch Verbindungen nach Frankfurt und München.

Lage in Bangkok
Nach den jüngsten Überschwemmungen verbessert sich die Lage in Bangkok seit dem heutigen 30. September spürbar.

Durch das Nachlassen der Regenfälle fließt das Wasser stetig ab. Staunässe und Wasseransammlungen beschränken sich ausschließlich auf nicht-touristische Wohnsiedlungen am Stadtrand. Alle zentralen Hotelzonen, Sehenswürdigkeiten im Stadtkern und Transferrouten zum Flughafen sind frei, sicher und uneingeschränkt passierbar.
Außerhalb von Bangkok: Die übrigen Ziele in Thailand können ohne Einschränkungen bereist werden.

Update Nepal

We are pleased to share a positive update regarding the Krishna Bhir section of the Prithvi Highway in Dhading, Nepal.

Following the recent flooding and erosion caused by the Trishuli River, the affected section has been partially reopened after the completion of a temporary alternative track constructed above the damaged area.

A successful trial run was conducted on 13 September 2026, and further graveling, leveling, and road-surface improvement works are currently underway. The authorities are aiming to resume traffic operations from 17 September 2026, subject to the satisfactory completion of the ongoing road stabilization and safety works.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and remain in regular coordination with our transport partners and local teams. Further updates will be shared as normal traffic operations resume.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued confidence in us during this period. We are pleased that this important highway connection is gradually returning to normal operation, which will further facilitate smooth travel across the region.

Update on the situation in Nepal
Kindly note that construction of the bypass track at Krishnabhir, between Kathmandu and Mugling, where the road had previously sunk, has already started. The authorities are planning to complete the bypass track within the next 15- 20 days. We are therefore hopeful that the road will be operational by the end of this month.

We are currently using the alternative route. Although the driving time is longer than usual due to heavy traffic, we are grateful for the clients’ patience and understanding during this period.

As informed earlier, the major tourist destinations, including Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Dhulikhel, Chitwan, Lumbini, Pokhara, and Mustang, have not been affected, and all programs in these destinations are continuing as normal. Hotels, monuments, trekking routes, restaurants etc. in these areas are operating normally.

We are continuing to closely monitor the road situation and making the necessary transportation arrangements accordingly.

Pre-Arrival Declaration at Vietnamese Airports
Effective NOW! The online pre-arrival declaration system that was recently implemented at Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), has now been expanded to other international gateways, including Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi) and Phu Quoc Airport.

Foreign passport holders entering Vietnam through Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi and Phu Quoc airports must complete an online pre-arrival declaration and present the generated QR code at Immigration. The aim is to streamline procedures, reduce waiting times at immigration and make arrivals smoother for international travellers.

The declaration can be completed within 48 hours of arrival at:

To avoid delays on arrival, we encourage clients to complete the form before they travel, ensuring a faster arrival process in Vietnam.
