Man with Van. Not Man with Can.
Some people seem to think that when you hire a man with a van, you also get a mobile rubbish bin.
They leave behind cardboard boxes, plastic wrapping, old packaging, yesterday literally 2 banana skins, plastic bottle and my "borrowed" used napkins.
“Oh, can you just chuck that away?”

No job too small.
A friend asked if I could help him get two carpets up one floor.
“Five-minute job, I thought.”
It was Friday evening, and fortunately he lives next to a pub. So, as is traditional in the countryside, we went in and recruited a few men.
I did wonder why we needed quite so many people for two carpets.
heavy, super long.
After several unsuccessful attempts to get them through the house, we decided to try a different approach.
A few wooden planks came off the balcony, and eventually we managed to get the carpets up that way.
Four men.
Two carpets.
Nearly an hour.
Five-minute job.
That’s how it always starts.
“just a ....” 🇬🇧😄

I don't need it anymore, but if you can fix it, then it's yours for free.

Monday morning, part two. 😂
I’m sitting in the van next to the entrance when a guy walks past with his dog:
“Well, you know, cars come in and out here sometimes.”
“I know. I’m not going anywhere anytime soon, but if someone needs to get in....
I’m sitting right here !— I’ll move if needed, but thank u for your advice”
“maybe you could park somewhere else.”
And I’m thinking…
Yep. Definitely Monday morning. 😂

You arrive at the job, and the customer suddenly comes out with a tray carrying three coffees.
Well… that was a nice surprise! 😂☕☕☕
Monday mornings can actually be pretty good sometimes.
