Bringing Quality live music to Christmas Island Our current aim is to have a show roughly every 6 months. We've had a few people ask what the name means.
The 100 Club was formed in 2012 to bring quality live music acts to the island and develop the local music scene. By fundraising and sponsorship we try and keep ticket costs down. CI 100 Club is run not for profit and any extra funds raised go towards future gigs, equipment and our scholarship program. We want to encourage the school kids and teens to explore and enjoy music and provide opportunities to foster music and production skills. CI 100 club got its name from our first show in Jan 2013. The show cost $10,000 which meant we needed to sell 100 tickets at $100 each to cover costs. So the 100 club began. Its not actually a club, and anyone is welcome to the shows, they are not all $100 a ticket, we try to keep costs down where possible. :)
