Same ship. Same stand. Different bottles waiting to be discovered.
Vinebration is back at Expovina Weinschiffe, and once again you’ll find us at Stand 415 on the MS Schwan.
We’re bringing the kind of w**es we think a w**e fair is made for, small producers, lesser-known grapes, bottles with stories worth asking about, and plenty you probably won’t meet at the usual w**e shelf.
If you visited us last year, come back and see what has changed.
If you didn’t, this is your year to find 415.

Every bottle you buy this October gives CHF 1 to dogs who still need care, safety, and a second chance. 🐶
For Welthundetag, Vinebration is supporting Kóbor Szívek Állatmentő Alapítvány Kóbor Szívek Állatmentő és Környezetvédő Alapítvány in Karcag, Hungary, an animal rescue working with dogs who have been abandoned, neglected, or are still waiting for the right home.
Throughout October, CHF 1 from every bottle purchased at Vinebration will be donated to the foundation.
So if you were already planning to pick up a bottle, this month that purchase does a little more.
And if you would like to support the campaign without buying w**e, you can donate through us directly.

Small amounts add up quickly when enough people take part.
Tried one orange w**e and decided they’re all the same?
That conclusion is doing a lot of work after one bottle.
Orange w**e can start with Pinot Gris, Furmint, Minutolo, Verdejo or Viognier, and once the grape, country and w**emaking change, the result can change with it.
These five come from Hungary, Italy and Spain, and they make a useful point: orange w**e is not one flavour profile.
So if your first bottle was too funky, too tannic, too oxidative, or simply not your thing, that may have been the bottle, not the whole category.
Which country would you try first, Hungary, Italy or Spain?

World Orange W**e Day, and five bottles that make a good case for looking past the colour.
Orange w**e can mean very different things depending on the grape, the place, and how the w**e is made.
In the shop right now:
Ceramica Pinot Gris Orange, Hungary
Orange 14 Furmint, Hungary
**ery Pinot Grigio Ramato, Italy
Minù Minutolo del Salento, Italy
Orange Verdejo y Viognier, Spain
Five bottles, three countries, and no single version of what orange w**e is supposed to taste like.
If you’ve only tried one orange w**e before, that probably tells you very little about the category.
Which one would you open first?

Year after Year • The heavy hitter scores again 👊🏻🏆
Five bunches from the 2027 Guide for Cinabro 2022 by Le Caniette 🍇🍇🍇🍇🍇👏🏻
Cinabro is crafted from 100% Grenache grapes (a selection of ancient vines of the local Grenache clone).
The grapes are hand-picked, followed by an 8-day maceration in wooden vats. The w**e then undergoes malolactic fermentation and matures for 30 months in barriques, before resting a further 14 months in bottle.
The result is a ruby-red w**e with intense red fruit aromas and subtle hints of spice. Complex, persistent, mineral-driven, and rich in tannins - an expression of elegance and character.
Certified organic w**e.
Pairing suggestion: Perfect with rich, aromatic dishes, or simply enjoyed on its own.
The 2019 vintage (also awarded with 5 bunches) is available at Vinebration | The W**eshop & More

Le Caniette does not name its w**es randomly. 👨🏻🎨
The reds follow the language of colour, with names such as Rosso Bello, Morellone, Nero di Vite and Cinabro referring to shades of red associated with the world of Michelangelo’s fresco painting.
That connection is especially fitting in Ripatransone, where Le Caniette is based. The town was also the birthplace of Ascanio Condivi, Michelangelo’s close associate and early biographer.
Even the rosé, Sinopia, continues the theme. In fresco painting, sinopia is the reddish preparatory drawing made beneath the finished work.
Then the whites shift completely.
Lucrezia, Veronica and Gaia are named after Giovanni Vagnoni’s three daughters, which gives the range a second naming language, this time much closer to home.
So on one side, art history. On the other, family.
Which Le Caniette w**e name would you have guessed correctly?

Better late than never to ANNOUNCE:
We did, in fact, have a category winner at this year’s EXPOVINA W**e Trophy: Úrágya 2015 from Lenkey Pincészet/Lenkey W**ery won Best of Bio.
For the occasion, we’ll simply leave you with the words of Igor Lukovic — taster and critic for James Suckling - W**e Ratings — on the work of the w**ery:
“In his more than five-century-old cellar, so characteristic of Tokaj, w**emaker Géza Lenkey creates w**es that age for extraordinarily long periods. Here, time becomes part of the w**emaking: the unique cellar microclimate, volcanic terroir and individual vineyard sites, local grape varieties and the noble molds of Tokaj all slowly interact over years, sometimes decades.
The result is a collection of deeply individual w**es, shaped as much by patience as by place. And somehow, they perfectly reflect the man behind them. Géza is contemplative, calm and unhurried — as if time means as little to him as it does to the w**es resting quietly in his cellar.”
Úrágya 2015 — a single-vineyard sweet w**e made from Furmint and Hárslevelű — is available at Vinebration in VERY limited numbers.
Congratulations to the w**ery! 🍷

An evening for those who taste the details 🍷
ONE TABLE. FIVE COURSES. SIX WINES.
Some evenings are simply dinner. This one is a composition. At Restaurant Sennenbüel, chef Alex Stapfer brings the perspective of an international career back to his home town, weaving Asian finesse into classical cuisine.
Vinebration completes the experience with six precisely chosen w**es—from Conegliano Valdobbiadene and Marche to Tokaj and Hungary. Expect five elegant courses, thoughtful vegetarian alternatives and pairings designed as part of the dish, not an afterthought.
Seats at this table are limited. Reserve directly with the restaurant and join a quietly exceptional circle of gourmets.

Five cellars, five stories, and five very different reasons to look beyond the usual picture of Ticino w**e.
During our trip through Sopraceneri, we went from Brissago to Valle Maggia, visiting family-run estates that approach w**e in very different ways. These are the five producers behind the w**es we’re pouring on 18 September:
🍷 Giromit, Brissago
Four generations, two hectares. The Zanini family’s w**egrowing history reaches back to around 1920, with vineyards around Brissago and Terre di Pedemonte.
🍷 Garzoli Vini, Maggia
Some vineyards can only be worked by hand, with the steep terrain of Valle Maggia making machines impractical in parts of the vineyard.
🍷 Cantina Il Cavaliere, Contone
Named after the Knights of Malta, a reference to Contone’s historical connection with the Order.
🍷 Azienda Mondò, Sementina
Keeping Ticino’s rare Bondola alive, an indigenous grape that has become increasingly uncommon in the region.
🍷 Tenuta Sasso Chierico, Gudo
Making Merlot under the Sasso Chierico name since the 1940s, beginning with Francesco Antognini, great-grandfather of the current owners.
On 18 September, you can taste the selection we brought back from these five estates, without having to drive across Ticino to do it.
