Createq
Swiss software company with experience in the fintech, e-learning, aviation, energy and banking. You might have heard about our flat structure. Sounds good?
Hello Earthers, let us give you a little glimpse into CREATEQ universe! We are a Swiss software company with more than 20 years of experience in aviation, the financial sector, energy, e-learning, and telecommunications. Different range of clients, from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and United Kingdom gave us their trust a long time ago to do what we do best – software engineering! Our amazing star crew has more than 300 members spread across 5 countries! At CREATEQ we believe in teamwork and unity, so you will work very closely with colleagues in Switzerland, Serbia, Romania, Moldova and Morocco. And yes, working here includes travelling to other offices or to client countries. Speaking of work…
Within the CREATEQ Group, we have experience in software engineering using a wide range of current state-of-the-art technologies, products and frameworks. Our expertise spans the latest technologies in the fields of Java, .NET, PHP, Mobile, Web and many more. CREATEQ implements, operates and maintains custom-built solutions as well as providing open source and commercial products and frameworks. It sounds out of this world, but we believe that leadership is too important to leave it to just a few! Our stary crews are organized in small, but mighty teams or like we call them - planets. That way we give them freedom to make their own decisions, constantly learn and we even shorten the decision-making pathway. Don’ just work here, belong here. What if the biggest challenge in standardization today isn’t the lack of standards - but the abundance of them?
This was one of the key observations shared by CREATEQ CEO Michael Jaeggi following ANNA - Association of National Numbering Agencies event in Switzerland, where leaders from financial market infrastructure, regulatory bodies, and industry organizations gathered to discuss the future of standardization.
As conversations explored topics ranging from financial markets and digital assets to emerging technologies, one recurring challenge stood out: how to create standards that simplify collaboration without adding unnecessary complexity.
Our CEO Michael Jaeggi highlights an issue that has not been discussed so far:
“Every new standard should force us to ask whether an old one can be retired. Otherwise, we risk creating complexity instead of reducing it.”
The history of standardization offers plenty of examples. Many of today’s widely adopted standards started as common practices, evolved into market norms, and only later became formally recognized. The same pattern can be seen across industries - from manufacturing and aviation to software and financial services.
As AI, digital assets, and new technologies continue to reshape industries, the question is no longer whether new standards are needed. The challenge is ensuring they create clarity, interoperability, and long-term value.
At CREATEQ, these conversations resonate strongly with our approach to building future-ready software: combining precision engineering with close collaboration to help organizations navigate complexity and adapt to evolving industry requirements.
A valuable event, insightful discussions, and an important reminder that successful innovation depends not only on new ideas - but also on our ability to align around them.
Should the introduction of a new standard also include a strategy for retiring outdated ones?

At CREATEQ, we know that great results come from great teams - whether we’re building future-ready software or stepping onto the pitch for a good cause.
That’s why we’re especially proud of our colleagues from the Niš office, who secured an outstanding 2nd place in this year’s Charity IT League. 🥈⚽
While the result is worth celebrating, what matters even more is the purpose behind it. The league brings together IT professionals through sport while supporting humanitarian initiatives and making a positive impact in the local community.
The same values that drive us every day - excellence, dedication, ownership and integrity - were on full display throughout the competition. Our teammates demonstrated that success isn’t measured only by the final score, but also by the willingness to contribute, support others, and be part of something bigger than ourselves.
Congratulations to the entire team for the fantastic achievement and for representing CREATEQ in the best possible way. 👏
A special thank you to .rs for organizing an event that successfully combines sport, community, and humanitarian impact. Initiatives like these make a real difference.

Embedded teams are about more than adding engineering capacity.
At CREATEQ, we see them as long-term partnerships built on trust, shared context, and growing together alongside the client’s product and business.
As Ivan Kun, one of our location managers - who has been working with the same client since 2005 - describes it from his own experience:
“It started with a couple of developers quickly adding to the engineering power of a fintech company with rapidly growing customer demand. Over two decades, it evolved into a partnership in product development, modernization, and strategic planning thanks to the embedded team approach.”
Over time, expertise and ideas were shared without boundaries, domain knowledge accumulated, and engineers became involved in every aspect of the software development lifecycle.
It also became a personal growth story - where junior developers evolved into subject matter experts while helping shape a cutting-edge digital banking solution together.
This is what embedded teams mean to us: combining precision engineering with long-term collaboration and software designed to stay future-ready as businesses evolve.
Because we care deeply about strong collaboration and helping teams move forward together, we actively share the knowledge and lessons we gain along the way.
More insights from our teams and engineering experiences can be found on our blog.

Linters won’t save you from AI-generated code. Here are the three patterns we catch in review every week - none of them flagged by the tools most teams already run.
1. Plausible-but-wrong API calls.
The model invents a method that should exist. It compiles in the IDE because the type hints look right. It explodes at runtime because your pinned SDK version doesn’t have it. The model trained on next year’s docs; you’re shipping today’s.
2. Silent error swallowing.
except Exception: pass. The tests still pass. The bug ships. A whole class of failures becomes invisible until a customer surfaces it.
3. Context-blind security defaults.
Permissive CORS. Unparameterized queries. Secrets read from env without validation. The code looks production-grade. It isn’t - it’s average-grade, which is exactly what a model trained on the average internet writes.
Tools catch form. Reviewers protect intent.
Turning AI-generated code into production-ready software requires more than speed — it requires precision.
Precision engineering. Embedded teams. Future-ready software.
If that’s what you’re aiming for, let’s talk.

Last night, we joined the “Tasting not Wasting” event in Zurich together with our clients - an initiative that brings attention to one important idea: enjoying great food while reducing waste and supporting those in need.
The evening highlighted how surplus food can be turned into meaningful experiences, while contributing to organizations that redistribute it to those who need it most. It’s a powerful reminder that small, conscious choices can create real impact.
For us, being there alongside our clients made it even more meaningful. Beyond the conversations and shared moments, it reflects a common mindset - taking responsibility, supporting sustainable initiatives, and contributing to something bigger than ourselves.
Thank you to everyone involved for such an inspiring evening.

We are strengthening our leadership team and setting the course for the next chapter at CREATEQ.
Michael J. E. Jaeggi is taking over as Chief Executive Officer, and Amanda Schwegler joins the Executive Board as Chief Financial Officer. Both bring deep knowledge of CREATEQ – our clients, our teams, and our business.
This step creates clarity in leadership and positions us for continued growth – building on our strengths in precise engineering, embedded teams, and future-ready software.
As part of this transition, Philipp Ringgenberg will be leaving CREATEQ. We thank him for his contribution and wish him all the best for the future.

At CREATEQ, our values aren’t just something we talk about - they shape how we work, collaborate, and deliver every day.
That’s why we introduced “Values in Action” - a program where colleagues recognize and nominate each other for truly living those values in practice.
For Q1, we focused on “Excellence”, and we’re proud to congratulate our winner, Lazar Stevanovic 👏
By stepping beyond his core role and taking on critical responsibilities during a challenging period, Lazar ensured stability, supported his team, and maintained high standards under pressure. His impact was clearly felt by both the team and the client.
Congratulations, Lazar - and thank you for setting the standard.
