Trying to show the scale of this mountain is not so easy, but if you spot Mery | Outdoor enthusiast in the first picture it might give you an idea. The 30 pitches (VI-) of the granite North ridge of Pizzo Badile (3308m) are a monumental alpine climb that will stay in our memories.

Yes, a lot of mountains are called the „Matterhorn of something“ 😅 But as you can see in the last pic Patteriol (3056m) is surely among the more impressively shaped peaks of the Eastern Alps and the 25 pitch, IV+ North-East ridge is a full package of alpine adventuring - loved it!!

High up on one of lesser climbed 4000m peaks of the Swiss Alps - the beautiful Dent d‘Hérens (4173m).
Although the night was cold it was quite a treat to be able to see this amazing sunrise at the top of Pizzo Badile (3308m) after climbing up the impressive Nordkante the day before ☺️👌

When climbing the Matterhorn via the Italian Lion ridge (III+, AD+) one of the most physically demanding sections of the climb is pulling yourself up on this loose ladder at 4400m towards the end of the climb. This is the only place we took out the rope because it looked a bit unpredictable 😅

To say Pizzo Badile (3308m) is impressive is an understatement. Climbing up 30 pitches on it‘s sleek North ridge (VI-) is an alpine adventure in its purest form. Pitch by pitch you work your way higher on solid granite cracks, slabs and flakes while the views of the Bergell get more and more amazing. With a late start from the valley we were able to enjoy the climb completely on our own and after 2200m ascent and 1070m stood at the top at blue hour. Crazy tour!
