Welcome to the Embodiment Centre, a conscious community for movement, connection and transformation. Organisers of the Swiss Embodiment Festival.
Yesterday’s class was focused on Zouk Structure, and in the after-class demo I shared a little about why we separate Zouk Structure and Zouk Flow at the Embodiment Centre.
They’re connected, but they ask very different things from the body and therefore benefit from different teaching methods.
Zouk Flow is predominantly about learning dynamics and shapes through the upper body, while Zouk Structure focuses more on the footwork technique and patterns of organisation in the lower body.
If you want to learn the flows, come to Flow. If you want to develop your structure, come to Structure.
And if you want to become truly adaptable — able to shift between both depending on the music, the connection and the creativity of the moment — come to both.

Fusion Dance Night @ Embodiment Centre ✨
Move, dance, connect
We’ll begin with some calming mantra singing to settle the nervous system and arrive together before moving into the evening’s partner dance workshop.
In the Workshop we’ll explore elasticity & compression and how to share energy through the body, stay connected and play between partners. (Instructor Jonny Driscoll is teaching the workshop).
Then from 21:00 we open the floor for a full Fusion party… a wide mix of music, genres and tempos, with plenty of space to explore your own movement language and dance with different people.

DANCING IN THE DARK
Blindfolded Dance

LET YOUR SENSES COME ALIVE
A softly guided 3-hour blindfolded dance journey exploring how we meet ourselves, and how we meet others, with greater authenticity and vulnerability.
With the eyes covered, live DJ, free movement, the attention turns inward... Sensation becomes richer, movement more instinctive, and we can gently explore our edges, boundaries and desire for connection.
You are always free to choose: dance alone, move alongside others, or enter connection. Nothing is required.
Welcoming playfulness, sensuality and consensual touch; held with care, clarity and respect.
