‼️Two types of scholarships available

Join us for a week exploring some of Switzerland’s top tourist attractions, meeting new friends from around the world, and sharing your World Centre or WAGGGS story.

📖 Explore the Our Chalet archives and celebrate our shared history
🚠 Enjoy Swiss adventures, including mountain excursions, a castle visit, and a Lake Thun boat trip
🧀🍫 Experience authentic Swiss culture with cheese and chocolate visits in Gruyère
✨ A relaxed programme with plenty of time for friendship, reflection, and creating new memories together

The event is aimed at those who have been to Our Chalet before or attended a Helen Storrow Seminar or Juliette Low Seminar at any location. However, anyone is welcome to join, even if they have never visited a World Centre before!

🌷Meet the Volunteer Team for Spring 2026 🌷

Meet Amenya, a General Volunteer from Nigeria 🇳🇬

Amenya has been a Girl Guide for 12 years, and Guiding has helped shape her journey in leadership, advocacy, adventures, and service.

In her free time, Amenya enjoys listening to music and singing, sewing, creating new decorative materials from recycled products, watching dramas, trying new recipes as well as baking, and exploring the outdoors through activities like hiking and nature walks.

Before arriving, Amenya was excited to meet new people, create lasting memories, and gain new life skills at Our Chalet. During the season, she has learnt more about WAGGGS, connected with volunteers from around the world, and experienced Swiss culture while living amidst the beautiful Swiss Alps.

Meet Karéne, a general volunteer from Uganda 🇺🇬

Karéne has been part of the Guiding and Scouting family since she was seven, and she now serves as a young leader. She loves using her journey to inspire others and bring more girls into Guiding.

At Our Chalet, she is excited to learn how WAGGGS comes alive through global teamwork, guests, and staff. She is looking forward to discovering Swiss culture, Alpine hikes, and at last experiencing first-hand the stories of Our Chalet that she has always heard about.
