To maintain a clean and functional air exchanger, make sure to check your filters regularly and clean them as instructed!

Air exchangers are designed to bring in fresh air into your home while exchanging out the stale air from the inside without the two ever touching.

There are many different types of air exchangers, but most will be a big box found in your mechanical room with clips on the bottom or side for easy access to the inside.

Most likely you will find two filters that have collected dust and debris but your air exchanger might also have an additional paper cartridge filter for the cold air intake.

The additional filter can be blown or vacuumed out or if it’s too dirty, consider purchasing a new one.
