There is so much fabric in an Indian saree. This one feels like silk, but I’m pretty sure it’s not. But it’s still beautiful fabric and these three duster jackets turned out better than I imagined. Coming soon to The Shop Next Door and/or Houndstooth Second Hand Boutique

I’ve been busy in my sewing room, trying to make as many things as I possibly can. I suddenly have multiple opportunities not just The Shop Next Door which is where you will find these beauties.
You might recognize the fabric if you’ve been following me. Sometime ago I found this gigantic tablecloth at a thrift store. It had so much potential. This is the last of it after making several other pieces similar to these. I do have a few scraps left and I have plans for them as well. Just because the fabric is so so cool.

I should’ve taken a photo of this very unusual shirt that I found somewhere along the way. The print and fabric is fabulous, but the design of the shirt was really bizarre with pointed cape thingy at the back.

Luckily that provided a lot of fabric for me I almost completely covered this jean jacket. I’m especially loving the lips on the lapel. I even saved the collar of the shirt and once I clean it up a little it’ll be included with the coat. Coming soon to The Shop Next Door

Made another pair from an unloved apron. These ones are for me. I think I love them.
