❤️ The End of One Chapter… The Beginning of Another. ❤️

The first photo was taken on December 17, 2018—the day the City finally approved Fido’s Place. 🥳 I remember holding that sign with so much excitement, dreaming about what this little idea could become.

The second photo was taken Thursday. The building was empty. Every kennel, toy, grooming table, sign, and memory had found a new home. The keys were handed back, and after nearly seven incredible years, Fido’s Place officially came to a close. 🐾❤️

What an incredible journey it has been.

To every client who trusted me with your dogs, every wagging tail that came through our doors, every amazing employee, volunteer, friend, rescue, and supporter—thank you. You helped turn a dream into something far greater than I ever imagined. The friendships, laughter, lessons, and memories will stay with me forever.

The third photo was taken yesterday after my knee surgery. 🩼❤️ It’s a reminder that while one chapter has ended, another is just beginning. After a little healing and rehabilitation, I’m looking forward to enjoying retirement, spending time with family and friends, and finally taking our camper out for our first camping trip of the summer. 🏕️☀️

Life has a wonderful way of closing one door while opening another.

Thank you, Weyburn, for embracing Fido’s Place and for allowing me to be a part of your lives—and your dogs’ lives—for the past seven years. It has truly been an honour. ❤️🐶

We're looking for Kennel Attendants to join our team!

Kennel Attendants are an important part of our clinic. They help us wrap up each day by caring for our patients, cleaning and preparing the hospital, and making sure everything is ready for the next busy day.

What to expect:
🐶 Typical shifts are 4:00–6:00 p.m. on school days and 9:00-5:00 on Saturdays
🐱 A great introduction to the veterinary profession
🐾 Hands-on experience in a fast-paced clinic
📚 Flexible scheduling that works around your school commitments

Whether you're considering becoming a veterinarian, RVT, or simply love working with animals, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience while being part of a supportive team.
