Why do you continue to train and race?
There are so many reasons why I love ski racing. I love pushing my body, setting goals, being outside and learning. But I can get those things from many different avenues. What makes cross-country skiing different is the people. I continue to race and train because of the wonderful, caring community of teammates, friends, competitors, coaches, techs and volunteers. This community is the reason why I’ve ski-raced for as long as I have.

👉 A 48-hour trip to a college race in the US. New location, new competitors, a rare 7.5km.
👉 Joining a US Pro team, last minute, for a SuperTour trip.

Why do you continue to train and race?
I’m trying to see how good I can get, while doing what I want to do.
Every now and then you come across something you want to work on, having the freedom to honour that has kept me going.

Season Highlights
👉 My season highlight was the 20k mass start skate race at Nationals. The snow was so deep we had to double pole half of the race because it was impossible to ski through the deep snow. SO FUN!

Why do you continue to train and race?
Skiing and skiing well is the closest thing I have ever felt to being a superhero. To me, there is nothing cooler than willing yourself to dig deeper than you thought was possible. You learn a lot about yourself when you apply yourself to such a physically and mentally challenging sport.

👉 J’ai eu la chance de visiter 6 pays cette saison jusqu’à maintenant!
👉 J’ai pu m'entraîner au Québec plusieurs fois cette saison. Principalement dans mon club d’attache au Mont-Tremblant.

Pourquoi continues-tu à t'entraîner et à participer à des courses?
Pour moi le ski est un sentiment de liberté ou je peux essayer d’aller le plus vite possible dans un environnement complètement réservé à moi. Je me sens fort et libre lorsque je ski. La quête pour le virage parfait est un cheminement rempli d’aventure et d’apprentissage.

👉 Local races in Thunder Bay. These races tend to fill in the calendar between larger out of town events, and as a result bring together the local community all into one place for brief moments in an otherwise busy winter of traveling.

Why do you continue to train and race?
Skiing for me is having fun outdoors on any type of skis—cross-country, downhill, slopestyle, ski jumping, etc. Of all these styles, cross-country through the woods on single track or breaking your own trail is skiing in its purest form, and I just happen to enjoy that one the most even though they are all a ton of fun.
