This Saturday, let’s talk money—openly, practically, and without the jargon.
Our first Safari Market Community Connect session is about financial wellness and making confident decisions for the future. Dr. Albert Ugochukwu and financial advisor Bettyline Odimegwu will discuss saving, investing, managing risk, and choosing financial products that work for you. Bring your questions.
We know this invitation is coming on short notice, but we’d love to see you there. Whether you’re new to Canada, planning for your family, or simply ready to understand your options better, you’re welcome.

Safari Market has always been a place to find familiar foods, discover something new, and connect with others. Now, we’re creating even more space for the conversations that bring our community together.
We’re excited to introduce the Safari Market Community Hub—a welcoming space rooted in the African and Caribbean communities we serve, and open to everyone in Saskatoon and beyond who wants to learn, share knowledge, and connect.
Our first program, Safari Market Community Connect, will feature presenters from Saskatoon, across Saskatchewan, and beyond. Topics will include finances, health, education, employment, housing, family life, and more.
Whether you’ve been shopping with us for years or have never visited before, you’re warmly invited to join us.
We’re launching this Saturday, October 3, with a financial literacy session. Event details will be shared tomorrow.
Are you a professional or part of an organization with knowledge to share? We’d love to hear from you about speaking or partnering with us—whether you’re based in Saskatoon, elsewhere in Saskatchewan, or beyond.

Meet Lane Britnell, the farmer supplying the goat for this Saturday’s Goat Feast. 🐐
Lane raises goats just west of Saskatoon. What began with a few goats for his family has grown into a small herd and targeted grazing business.
His goats help clear brush and unwanted vegetation while producing food right here in Saskatchewan. For Lane, seeing them become dishes prepared through different cultural traditions at Safari Market is a pretty special full-circle moment.
Locally raised. Locally cooked. And this Saturday, shared with Saskatoon. ❤️
