A fanatic when it comes to making glass beads, working at the torch is a form of meditation for Su. She focuses on the creative process through a liquid medium always endeavoring to capture light in her pieces. This element is fundamental in how Susan’s work is shaped, colored and presented , She sees her jewelry as an extension of the personality of the wearer in harmony with the intent of the artist. Susan Hood is a proud member of the Toronto Bead Society, Nova Scotia Designer Crafts Council the Yarmouth Crafts Guild, president of LAMPS and the past the Regional Director for Canada of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers.
